Talks of Harvick and Johnson sand bagging the last segment to get a good last segment starting position

 

They're racing hard now , the gloves came off and its about to get really ugly

 

That is just BS if they get away with that !!!

what kind of bullshit sideshow circus is this? glad I was driving an an hour and a half home to miss all but Larson in the wall and no caution for it, making a shit ending in which logano was handed the win...

It was a fantastic rule package. Puts more pressure on the whole team vs just the driver. The teams that sucked will complain about it, pretty simple. Was probably the most exciting all star race I've seen.

 

I missed the whole thing! I fell asleep at the beginning of the showdown, woke after the Larson/Elliott finish. I was moving furniture all day and finished, remembering the race. Caught the last 3 laps on the radio. Totally bummed the 42 didn't get the win.

 

random drawn if you can pit... that's bullshit... being told when and if you can pit is not racing... they could easily rig that if they wanted too.

 

I think you missed the point of the entire all star race bud.

 

This year continues to impress, so far the best racing I've ever seen. I encourage you to watch it somehow else.

 

to rig it? I mean danica made it in on votes, yet everywhere I read, they all voted blaney (I didn't though...). and if its meant to be a sideshow, it doesn't sound entertaining... the whole race likie normal is entertaining...

 

Imo it was the most entertaining all star race ever, people that scream rigged, or sideshow, don't understand the value of how much a team means in NASCAR and also don't understand that even if you're driver or drivers don't win doesn't mean it wasn't a great race. This format was about how a team could get their driver in a good position to drive their way to the front in closing laps and it's exactly what happened.

 

what invalidates that, is the random being allowed to pit or not... that's nothing to do with your team.... and if you do too much into the team, you get F1 or should I say formula Mercedes. I know the team is important, that's why they should pit when they want if they want...

 

You still don't get it.

By putting the faster cars behind the slower cars the driver has to make his way to the front and the only way they are in that position in the first place is from their team.

I'm done trying to talk anymore sense into you, it's a simple concept with this rule package, not everyone is gonna be a fan and I understand that. But don't say it's "rigged" and it's "invalidated" because these teams worked their asses off for that finish and you are crying because deep down your driver or drivers finished poorly. It's ok to hate team Penske, but don't let that cloud your judgment on what a great all star race it was.

 

I didn't see but 8 laps. and this still doesn't show the teams putting them their? it was random if you could pit in segment 3, so old tires in the way of new tires... how does the team help the old tires? and how can they strategize that if they wanted adjustments, because now the team can't make them... and a team that has to pit, cannot decide to stay out for track position if they choose to do so. it seems like forcing their hands, instead of teams doing what they want to win.... a better segment 3 would be a 20 lap shootout to the finish(option to pit before green)...then they could do whatever they needed, and they would all go for broke for the cash.

 

When you watch the entire race, please comment, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about other than biased opinions.

 

I read the rule you posted.... and "randomly" choosing who pits and who doesn't is bullshit... takes team strategy out of several things, where you can only talk about team this team that...
