Honestly I'm impressed with myself, super hard dart landing and my homebuilt ghetto arms are holding up nice, truck drives straight down the freeway at 80 hands off lol

Subtract about 10 inches off that current droop pic and we might be closer to realistic full droop.

Has anyone come out with a better steering rack for our 2nd gen tacos yet?

Would like to go to 37s some day... but I can only imagine what they will do to the steering rack. The 35s have beat them up enough.

Only thing I've seen is a tundra rack swap and a swinger style steering with a ps box

So in getting ready to replace my inner tie rods and am curious if you guys prefer one brand over another? Sometimes I forget I'm not lt and end up driving like I am, so might as well replace them with a better/ stronger option if there is one.

There have been multiple reports of people trying to adjust their column while driving and ending up with it in their laps...someone just posted it on TW FB recently too, apparently there is a " don't do it " statement in the owners manual.

Could of sworn I saw a customer of Trac leak a swing steering pic that he is testing. It goes through the steering tunnel. I think the swing arms are on the inside frame rails. This is from memory could of been for another A-arm truck. Either way I don't see a custom swing setup to be much cheaper than going hydro.

Most if not all LT kits use hiemed steering to get the extra travel. I'd stick with OEM tie rods with MT. You would need a thread adapter to go from the stock steering rack to the hiemed threads.

I had to read through your post a few times to figure out what you are talking about. I have my dash apart on my truck right now which exposes my steering column. My column is non adjustable. I can take a photo for you if want to get rid of your column adjustment.

Oh that's cool, I saw a pic of Taco and Tundra spindles side by side they are almost identical just taller and way more beefy huh. So are they using those u-joint style front axles like the Solo XLT kit ?

If that thing is four wheel drive, it will be using half as much down travel as pictured above. Even if it wasn't 4 wheel drive, it's dripped out so far that you couldn't fit a 2.0 smooth body in there without a coil much less a 2.5 or 3.0 coil over.
