I am waiting til my rack is done to post pics. Two weeks and counting so far...

 

Hunter, you add the crossbars to your rack yet?

 

Nope. Have to get more tubing since my extra is donated to BPF. then I have to cut it and get to my buddies place to weld em up

 

I used 1-1/4" EMT for my rack. Just over 1-1/2" OD. Nice and light, and cheap. Could always use that for the crossbars

 

This is true. Ill look into getting some EMT. Where did you purchase it at?

 

I know shit about tubing whats good size tubing to redo my bumper ???

 

Home Depot. Grind of the galvanization around where you will weld it.

 

Measure the outer diameter of the existing tubing... Get the same size!

 

No clue what most builders use for bumpers. For strength I would use 1.75" x .120 tubing

 

Sweet. And I hate galvanized shit lol

 

So Id like to set up a camping/kayaking trip for after I get the RTT. Maybe a little trail riding... You guys interested?

 

Eh. It's cheap, easy to bend, and light. Although my rack is over 100 pounds now...

 

Yep. Just picked up a used 'yak. Rack should be done in another week or so. RTT may take a bit longer though.

 

Why so heavy?

I so far have mounted my fire extinguisher using this mount:

A shovel using some hose clamps and quick fists and I have my spare tire strapped to it using a ratchet strap...

I was thinking of welding some sort of tire mount plate to secure the tire better.

Still have to fab mounts for hi lift and maxx traxx and paint it.

 

There is a WHOLE lot of stuff going on with that thing lol. I wanted to keep mine simple ill be adding rotopax to it and a hilift mount.
