    I posted some information on page# 1083 of this thread about other trail frequencies that can be used and have UPDATED the information on that page posting.

    the UPDATED information:
    I was able to do a trial run and was easily 1/4mi away and could still clearly hear the person transmitting. This range did NOT surprise me. I then set the SQL on the Baofeng to "0" because I was wanting to go out to a half mile or more, NON-line of sight, and in about 30sec to 1min, I was unable to receive with the SQL now set to "0" on my Baofeng radio??? Anyways, setting the SQL to "1" on the Baofeng radio was working everytime!!!

    NOTE that this TEST was done from Baofeng-to-GMRS/FRS radio using a GMRS/FRS radio just like in the picture of page# 1083.

    I've been in the garage when not at work so it's had me tied up lately. I'm also actually doing "some" work while in the office. The worst part is how TW will alert you once to a change in a thread you were in then nothing else!
