You can put them in a vise and a large socket over the washer and hammer them past the raised part, to anyone watching here who hasn't done this this is the first and best mod I did to my 3 tacomas..

    Found this from '12 %%%% @Kyitty

On the sanding/grinding down the bolt retention ridges, I used a hammer instead. I recall reading either in this thread or somewhere about another Tacoer using a press. I figured if that would work then so would a BFH. 1-1/16" socket (this is a 12-pt socket and I've been informed that it needs to be 1-1/8" if it's a 6-pt) on top and scrap 4x4 block underneath. 2lb sledge whacks the washer past the ridges and after the first one's done, there's a nice hole in the block so no more holding the damn thing while you hit it-

Isn't it well known that Toyota does this specially on the Tacoma. 3 NGK on one side and 3 Denso on the other.

Pretty sure it's been talked about. No one can find a solid answer though as to why Toyota does that.

It is generally well known that Toyota does this. They have a relationship with both companies and (maybe to keep it easy to use both brands equally?) have been using Denso on one side and NGK on the other for a very long time. I'm pretty sure it was done on gen 1, don't know about minitrucks and preTacos.

Nobody fucked up, though. It's intentional.

Spacer lift, bumper stickers, ejector seat, etc.
Installed OME 887's, TC UCA's, 5100's all around and a set of All Pro 3" springs in the rear.I put the OME top plate spacer on the driver side but it is 1" lower than the passenger side on both the front and rear. Any ideas or suggestions as to what might be the issue? The taco lean should have been alleviated with the top plate spacer or atleast minimized to under 1/2".

Got started on my cap ceiling storage system today. I used the same materials used on my DIY cap rack. Ended up drilling through my track system, though the cap, and bolting up some freshly painted unistrut directly beneath the track on the interior. Basically doubled the strength of my rack system from what it was before.
I plan to have cross members that will hold a small camping table. Then below that I'll use a bungee net for loose storage for miscellaneous stuff.
The 3rd pic shows the bolt system they use which is pretty cool because of how modulator they are, basically you can put them where ever you want and slide them into place to your desired location.
    Here's where I am now.

Cool thing now is that if someday I ever manage to get an RTT set up I can run braces down to my side rails and I'm all set without having to worry about whether or not the cap can handle the weight. :D

Here's the DIY cap rack for reference

Cut open my tail lights and sprayed them black to match my headlights and get rid of most of that chrome. Wasn't to bad of a process. Got a few small chips on the edge but after I put black silcone on them and sprayed a black border on the lens you can't really tell. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Thanks man. Wasn't too difficult. Just need a dremel with a cutting disk and some paitence. Most time consuming part is cutting them. The rest is a breeze.
