    Hey guys,

I suggest we start our own "thing". Like the "Jeep Thing", we should salute fellow Taco owners when driving around. A thumbs up, a wave, a nod....what do you think??

I started doing it in my area (Montreal,Canada) and the response has been very positive.

Keep in mind i'm a first time Taco owner and I don't want to take credit for something that long time owners have already been doing.

    I do this sometimes.

Their are TONS of Tacos in my area. Most are of them are stock SR5s.

I just stare them down. They normally give me the look ahead. If I see another Taco in the parking lot, I'll go out of my way to park next to them.

Yep, I don't wave at tools, I beat them down and put mushroom marks on their foreheads!

I give a little waive or a nod when I see other Tacoma owners. It's usually b/c they catch me staring at their truck anyway. I thought that owning one might keep me from staring at them (and my wife had hoped that I would stop saying, "Damn... that's a nice truck" every time I see one), but it hasn't.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
This is the reason why I won't send them a signal.

Unless they have something on their truck that discerns them an enthusiast, then I've found the owners to not be very responsive.

True story: I was out wheeling with a couple of guys this past weekend. It was the owner of the shop that built my truck and a friend of his. His friend had a sick Jeep that he trailered out there. Anyway, we get to the offroad park, unload the Jeep, and are getting ready to load up when I said "Gotta make sure we bring the tool bag with us."

The response? "Don't worry. We got ya."

I'm the same way. I generally only wave at people with built Tacos (which is rare around here except for the occasional 6" Dropbracket Taco).
