Need advice ..new leaf pack or AAL?

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to be ordering 5100's front and rear after reading through most of the guides/tips/advice given throughout the forum. That being said i have absolutely no clue what to do with my leaf springs. I originally thought about getting an AAL for a little more load capacity and slight lift but after actually looking at the perfectly flat "arch" state that they're in I dont know if i need to replace with upgraded pack or if AAL is enough for my needs. I do have a topper shell but i dont think it would affect the springs that much. I have the 4 leaf pack.
Never really planned on carrying more than some tools and a bit of construction materials with her but after getting a hold of about 700lbs of landscaping stone for free and seeing her bottom out for the first time I'm considering all options. I've read the Dakars are the way to go but are they ok with 5100's? How much lift do the Dakars give? is there another leaf pack thats tried and tested someone can recommend?

Dakars are overkill for you and 5100s won't work with them.

 

Dakars give a 2.75" lift to the rear and the 5100's would not fit them. You can go with the 2015+ bilstein 5160's or if you want to save some money get the nitrochargers from ome. They are meant to complement the dakars perfectly. The 5100's can be used for the aal.

 

Unless you take the Dakars apart and pull leafs, which wouldn't make much sense.

A single leaf AAL would suit you fine.

what would you recommend between these? one being progressive 3 pack the other being the single

Whatever you do though go through Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road as stated above. They also offer their own version of the 3 leaf 1.5 progressive AAL.

I second this. Trust me when I say the Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road is the most knowledgeable and the have the best prices......free shipping too.

 

Marie at headstrong is the best. Hands down. I would go with the progressive 3 leaf. I had a single and it made it more harsh. When I switched to dakars which r more leafs it rode way better.
