    Drum brake shoes do need lubrication, but not grease.
    I believe there is a product made , but I use anti seize .
    Only use a small amount of what ever you decide to use does not take much to contaminate your shoes.

    I used brake caliper grease. Just small dabs wherever contact points were

    Thanks guys! I just got finished putting in the new bushings. The shifter is as tight as a glove and no problems with my key getting stuck. Thanks for all the help! I was going to take off the back tire to grease the points needed but it's raining now so hopefully tomorrow i can tackle it. Thanks for all the info you guys have posted on this thread!
