I have owned 4x4`s in the past and actually have an F250. This is the first truck I got in order to actually use for some off road, noting major but looking for quality components for a 2-4 in lift. I am new to 4 wheeling and grew up on dirt bikes and am actually a veteran technician,I just never "got into it". So I did a 6 in Pro Comp lift kit on a 16 sport 4x4 and had to modify (cut) the frame,a large section out. I do not want to do this to mine. Any suggestions on the best combination of shocks and suspension would be appreciated.

if you notice the piece of frame you cut out has a rather large place or cross member that is bolted right under the cut out piece that goes from the LCA bolt to the other LCA bolt. It is plenty stout.

that is true, but i just do not want to cut my frame on my $40k truck. Also for Pro Comp in 2016 Tacoma the support rods from the rear drop cross member back to the frame or trans cross member (i don`t remember exactly where they bolt on pre 2016) have been eliminated. I know this because the first kit I got was a 12-15 and it had the support rods and all the hardware and mounts. I had partially installed that kit when we found out the rear drop sub frame was incorrect... I don`t like the way they do a few other thiIMG_20160219_090020123.jpg IMG_20160219_083824493.jpg IMG_20160219_090020123.jpg IMG_20160219_083824493.jpg ngs either.Plus I don`t like the over all look of the truck when it was done .
