Hope this wasn't discussed in the pages before... I'd hate to be "that" guy. O well. Anybody going to this this year? http://www.appalachiantoyotaroundup.org I went last year it was fun. Only a handful of tacos though. Should have my rear locker in by then hopefully get my bamf towers on and I'll be set. Hopefully they'll let me run some harder trails this year. They said it'd be a very bad idea with out lockers. Soo did some greens and blues. Still had fun though.

What's the price and how long of a drive from Clarksville? I might be able to talk the wife into letting me go. I am interested to see how much the terrain differs from out here.

I was there along with @Skootter14 and we had a better time the second day when we went and did our own thing. There were entirely too many vehicles with us on the first day. Pretty sure you were in the group with us, radar tower (that we never saw), and an FJ that busted two tires. All that being said, we might go back this year, haven't decided yet.

Haha yup. I helped the FJ on the second tire change and after everybody went around I went up the way he did. I like a challenge. Yeah I ended up doing my own thing later. Trying to get my buddy with his xj to go or other taco guys and do our own thing as long as the group isn't like 20+ vehicles. Haha. Worst part with the FJ was after the second blown tire the spotter asked him if he was in 4lo he said yea. After a few fails trying to get up it the spotter asked again if he was in 4lo. He looks and is like yea I'm in 4 then grabs his gear shift and is like low. Some guy beside him was like noooo your in 4hi in low gear. So he half climbs in to help him then realizes he has a locker to. Hahaha fun times.

I think we paid $230 for my wife and I to go last year. They fed us dinner both nights, had entertainment and a raffle, got t-shirts, etc. I ended up winning a hidden winch mount at the raffle and sold it for enough to cover most of the cost for our weekend. The drive for you from Clarksville would probably be about 3 hours.

Yes, that guy was a tool all the way around. That was actually the first time I had this truck offroad, and it was completely stock except for sliders.

I did a very noob thing out here. Buddy and I were coming back down the mountain after a long trail trough snow, rocks, some mud and a lil water and I didn't put my truck in a lower gear to aid from having to brake as much and long story short my rotors were glowing red once we made it to the bottom lol.

That toyotathon thing was good..but only bc @Dave41079 was there and the other guy that I actually went to flight school with years ago randomly showed. they had TOO many ppl and not enough coordination done to mitigate all the hassle. In their defense it was their first time hosting it there and wasnt truly sure how many ppl would actually turn out but it was like 100 FJs and 5 Tacomas. I would only go back with a TN group went and I would NOT go with the herd. we had a much better time off on our own. Overall it was a cool experience, lots of ppl, lots of rides to see but.....be warned haha

If I go again I'll just get together with a few other vehicles and go do my own run. That being said...why pay the premium for a T-shirt and raffle ticket? Maybe we just need to plan a TN Windrock meet.

So what's the official word on LBL this weekend. I've got an unscheduled wedding to attend Saturday night. Was planning on showing up Saturday, may now be Sunday.

What type of tires do you guys run on your rigs? Size, rubbing issues (if any) and what you love and what you don't like. I'm having a hard time making up my mind on what tires to get lol.

Edit: pics of the tire would be awesome too. :D

The bfg km2 is hard to beat... I ran them in 33 and 35s (cab mount chop beat the fenders back and cut the fenders) pictures of the truck with the km2 are on my build thread. Now I have 37 tsl and love them but the suck on road (bias ply) 7f022bf376331f432f0669c4425a7623_1a33f18fda9298f61c1357af04ee3a5ede3061f9.jpg
