    They stopped calling it prerunner, because nobody ever gets the lower 2wd version. aren't those weird looking? (not the xrunner, the plain old Tacoma that nobody has)

    Businesses really bought those as fleet trucks.
    Pizza Delivery, Florists, Fumigators, Small time plumbers, mail man.
    Those little trucks that carried less than 500 lbs. in merchandise and needed a dependable, gas saving (~20+ MPG) truck got it with those stock tacomas.

    yeah, look at the trend that the taco started. making a 2wd truck look like a 4x4!

    Based on how much they are selling for at dealers, private sale, and salvage auctions, I would say people do want them. Not everybody needs a trdOR 2wd mall crawler.

    If anything is weird looking its the X-runner.

    As for lights, there are many threads on headlights. Alot of people early on tried LED's in the projectors but didnt work well. HID is the choice for the projectors with LED's in the hi beam and fogs.

    Sweet thanks for the info! I like hids, but ive read on here people were having trouble with them bouncing.
