    I typically tap the red switched wire in the harness however if you don't want to remove the headunit again you can just install an "add a circuit" to a switched circuit in the fuse box.

    This thread is killing me! Need to install. The parts are in the garage taunting me at this point. Wife continues to pile on the projects. :( I'll be pressure washing and staining the fence this weekend it seems. I need some better sound! Happy wife happy life?!?

    HUGE REVELATION ON REMOVING THE WIRES - You need to apply pressure on the PLASTIC tab and move to the side so the wire can come out EASILY. May have been obvious to others but thought I would share ... I'm sure other newbies have been sticking a pick in their and not fully understanding. Thanks Marv!!

    You need to spice together the two red wires on the large metra connectors to get the 12V switched to the HU. For remote turn on you can also splice the remote turn on wire (typically the blue wire on the speedwire cable) into the two red wires.

    What Zinger said ^ ..splice the blue wire in the Speedwire together with the 2 red wires in the harnesses and you'll be good to go!
