What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

To calculate backspacing from the stamped number in the wheel, you also have to know how wide the wheel is. 7, 7.5 or 8"?

 

Getting ready to pull the trigger on the AP Expo leaf pack and 10" Bilsteins, does anyone know if I need to buy longer U-bolts?

Anything else a must for these leafs? I already have a longer rear brake line. I am going for weight abilities (relentless bumper w/tire & jerry can holders) and the 3" lift (ditching the 2" lift shackles).

 

Ready to weld new hangers and things?

I'm pretty sure you have to weld new leaf spring hangers, that's what they told me on the phone. Also the reason I'm going with Alcans

 

I say go with the u bolt flip anyways and relocate the shocks. I wasn't happy with the 10" shocks in stock location. 2.5" lift in rear and uptravel was still pretty limited.

I don't know why you'd have to move the leaf hangers for the standards and not there expos. I dunno that's just what I found in my research...

 

It's about the $$$$! My leafs are shot. They are Toyota OEM with 160k on them, bowed badly. Currently I can't carry more than ~100lbs without them ridding the bump stops. I have a heavy ass bumper enroute (still 2-4 months) and I have to tow a trailer with some heavy bikes on it in July. So for now, I really just need the leafs. Everything else will have to wait.

98-04 are all the same. Expos bolt on. 95-97s have shorter springs.
