And, my post with other pictures of how I mounted the hinges.

Yes, you can put the hinges wherever. I just wanted to stay close to the top since it should be a little thicker and lessens the possibility of finding a freon line.

Indel B 51L. I took off the hinge it comes with and put those on there so it would open how it should've been manufactured in the first place. It'll open all the way while in the truck, can be accessed from either side or from the front seats.

It's my first one, so I cant compare it to other brands first hand, but after reading plenty of reviews, it basically looked like comparing roof top tents... as long as you are in the same price range, differences will be negligible.

But it runs great, keeps the temperature where you want it, was hella cheap on the group buy and I have it in the truck and running 24/7 since I got it other then when I leave on vacation without the truck, then I'll turn it off. With only stock battery for the first few weeks to a month with no issue starting after it sitting for 36 hours (the longest I let it sit). Upgraded to a single agm deep cycle group 31M battery since I dont want it to not work that one time in the middle of nowhere.

    edit:
And I have ZERO regrets purchasing it. My best mod to the truck is my on board water and this is the second... I use both daily as much or more than I do for offroading.

Take another look at your antenna. When we installed your CB, your antenna had a ring terminal with a black wire coming off it...this is a ground wire that instructions said not to connect unless you were having trouble tuning. We never connected that wire to the mount before i left, so I'm suggesting to try that if you haven't already.

    Yes.
Worst case, swing by tomorrow or Wednesday evening and I'll take a look.

No promises, but I have extra coax in the truck, and might even have another spare antenna stud with me. Depending on exactly what your current mount looks like.

I'm wondering if I can get one here before Moab. Getting ice all week is gonna be a PITA.

    Yes.
In theory my cooler should keep ice, in solid form for 5 days at 90 degrees.
I expect to get more like three.

If you order it with that group buy, call them up, but I think they sent me the tracking number and it was here the next day.. two at most. It was coming from AZ. And most others had the same experience.

Okay to my two Yoda Techs...whisperer and the screamer.

Since 3rd gens don't have a dip stick for trans fluid, how accurate is techstream ?

Every time I have some payload in the bed, the trans seem to labor a little when shifting up during complete stop.
