I just picked up a set of used King Coils. Ive been researching for few days now, and still not to sure of few things. First what is the ratio for turns of collar to lift. And this more asking what others are set at (I know every setup is different, asking for more of a base line) I only really want to be at around 2-2.5" of lift (thats what my OME setup is and truck sits good). I have full plate front bumper, Winch, full skids, sliders, HC rear bumper w/tire carrier. if anyone has something similar how much threads do you have showing to accomplish the height lift? also did you compensate for the Taco Lean? Thanks Guys

    1. The ratio is around 1.8:1 so just call it 2:1.

    2. No real use in asking what other people have theirs set at because every truck is different.

    3. Yes, adjust the drivers side approx 1/8" more to compensate for taco lean.

Call @Downsouth Motorsports and buy the new King adjustment tool. The new tool is just a straight rod vs that spanner wrench which works a heck of a lot better in/ around our tight coil buckets. With the new tool you can adjust them on the truck as long as the truck is jacked up and the suspension is at full droop. Jack up truck, adjust,Mario truck down and drive it around the block and hit a few speed bumps to settle the coils then re measure and repeat if need.

No not quite that much, each turn of the collar is only one thread which is prob 1/8" which would be 1/4" at the wheel. I am not sure where they are set from the factory ....I wouldn't worry about it too much though. Be patient and get the right adjustment tool and you can adjust the, on them truck which saves a shit ton of work and takes all the bench work guessing out of it.

I got mine at 10 drivers/6 passengers "threads showing", @KingTaco81 mentioned his is at 8 drivers/6 passengers. I'm still tuning them at this time, I'm hoping some of the guys could chime in on what their dampening setting is at. As a starting point I set mine at 14 clicks "sorta neutral" but it still feels stiff, I'm thinking that is normal with a coil over...any help is appreciated :boink:

My instruction manual said 5 turns equals 1" of lift.. I did 6 turns and it came out to about 1.5" of lift.

Mine came with about an inch of lift. I'd put about 5 turns on them and put them on your truck and see what its like, go from there.

Out of the box the Coilovers are set to level the truck. 5 full rotations of the spring collar equals 1" of lift.
