Might as well box it in while its apart!

Does anyone know what parts I need other than the oem fuel door? Im running no fuel door on my fiberglass bedside and need to buy the whole assembly again but having trouble sourcing the hinge, etc.

Looking good!... for your Total chaos shackles did you mount them directly above the stock location or move them?

Not sure, I'd have to look. OE mounts have long been disappeared from grinding. I know I measured just around 53" from hangers.

So I replaced all the uniballs on the front of the truck. UCA, LCA, and lower shock mount uniballs. Checked torque on everything, including the steering rack. Steering rack is a rebuilt unit on Delrin bushings. When I replaced that (18 months ago), I replaced the tie rod ends and the intermediate steering shaft.

Made a decent improvement in the handling, but it's still not where I think it could be. Here are my observations:

    - After offroading, the steering wheel sometimes ends up tilted one way or the other. My alignment cams have the TC gusset kit and they're marked - they don't appear to have shifted.

    - Still has some play in the steering wheel.

What the hell could this possibly be? I'm about to try a new steering rack.

Possibly something in your steering column itself?

The steering column appears solid, but I don't know anymore. I'm perplexed. It's frustrating.

Have someone wiggle your steering wheel, starting with little wiggles to big wiggles.
Work your way from the steering wheel to the tire along all steering components, and figure out what has slop in it
If you see wiggle go in, and no wiggle out, that's probably your problem.

    Oh yeah...
    Wiggle

Alright gentlemen, 50T time. We've got our old set that came off the truck a little over two years ago. One side has a cracked leaf, the other is fine. We kept them around as an emergency spare but don't need them any more. Talked to Jeff at Deaver, he said they'd repair the broken leaf and re prep and re arch the leafs for $250. Less if you want to do the prep yourself obviously. So that said, rather than deal with shipping it back and forth, etc I'm putting them up for sale for $300.

They're currently located in Vegas. Drop me a line if you're interested.

It may sound silly but rotate and cross rotate the tires. My truck handled like poopy and after rotating the tires it drives so much better. Granted I'm running different brand tires front to rear but...
