I was thinking the basket because I'm just getting the cab rack for now...not both and with the curve of the boats...want to make sure they're not resting too much on the camper shell

Not like the boats are super curved but figured better safe than sorry

I like that baja has yakima/Thule mount bases

So you've got a shell on the truck now? I totally see why'd you go with the basket to get the boats higher above the roof and off the shell.

You really can't go wrong with BajaRack. I had one on my FJ and liked it so much I got one for the Tacoma.

I want a prinsu for the access cab, but, have to drill, (no drill on double cab) and they are dam pricey. may try to get some Thule or Yak no drill mounts with crossbars and a fairing

They mount to the threaded factory roof rack location. Same with the Prinsu. With the Prinsu, you have to either punch holes just right in the weather strip or remove it all together. With the BajaRack, it comes with little spikes that you screw into the roof and use a rubber mallet to mark the weather strip. Once the weather strip is marked, drill or punch small holes for the bolts into the weather strip. When installed, the bajarack sits on top of the weather strip where the Prinsu has spacers that bypass the weather strip all together.
