I agree, as I just had mine done and now the steering wheel is not straight going straight down the road. FYI it raised the rear maybe 1/4 inch, as I took measurements.

Had mine replaced yesterday after 3 week wait for the parts to arrive. It now sits 1/2 inch lower in the rear.

Fuckers just don't wanna do it! I'd go home and pull the aal out and take it back! Or take it to another dealer if close enough.

What dealership are you calling? L&S in Beckley made me take my AAL out before they would replace springs.

It's not an '09 thing. I went in with the original 2+1 packs and came out with the new 3+1 packs and my '09 sits at the exact same height it did going in. I could understand a drop in height from the old 3+1 TSB leaf packs to the new ones but going from OEM spring packs to the new recall spring packs I saw no increase or decrease in height.

I can understand the point of view of the Dealership - but - isn't this a safety recall due to defective parts?? I'd call Toyota Corp and get clarification.... So what happens if the old springs puncture the gas tank and cause a loss of life???

Dan cava toyota world in fairmont wv are the ones refusing lifted trucks. Ok so I got the letter for leaf remedy it said that I don't need to take action my springs were replaced while my frame was being replaced. Wrong, they were suppose to but at that time 10/2015 there was no remedy so there computer shows ordered and installed when they were not. So now I'm having trouble even going to a different dealership bc the computers say mine was replaced with the frame. : (

Got mine replaced about a week ago. Measured the height before and after and there was only about 1/4 inch change, but the new ones also feel a bit softer. Eventually these are going away. Just have to decide what I'll replace them with.

If the replacement springs are the same as what comes on the 2015 Tacoma, they are still junk. I had an AAL put in my truck and with my camping gear and shell I still had sag. That said, with over half a yard of dirt in the bed my Dakars sag enough to make my truck level. I can't imagine what would have happened if I had my OEM springs still in my truck.

Just had my 90k done over the weekend and replacement springs are now on order. Quoted 3 week lead time with no hassle on getting them ordered.

I had the Rear TSB Springs done a few years back.
According to the diagram floating around, I have the 6 clips already on the leaf packs.
I definitely don't want to lose any height in the rear, and others that had the TSB 4-leaf packs replaced have said they've lost about 1/2" to 3/4" in height.
I don't want to lose the height due to having 5100's set at .85" in the front and a want a slight rake.
I will admit that all Toyota springs suck ass and the best scenario is replace myself (when necessary).

Would anyone suggest still getting these new leafs if they were still willing to replace them just because they're newer??

I agree. One of the main reasons I had mine replaced was because how sloppy they rode and how much rust had accumulated on them. I honesty didn't trust my springs to make it another two winters without breaking... If your TSB springs aren't rusted and ride well, leave them alone!
