If you've never tried Paint Protect by meguiars, id recommend it. I had a 2013 Ford Fusion before I bought my 2015 Tacoma. The fusion was bought as a demo with 30,000 miles on it and covered in swirl marks. One application of paint protect and the swirl marks were pretty much all gone. It makes your paint feel like it was just cleaned with a clay bar. It's so slick, when you're driving in the rain...the dirty water from the road mostly rolls right off and the vehicle stays mostly clean. The best part is you can put it on everything but the glass and mirrors so apply it to your rubber trim...it darkens it back down, apply it to your headlights and taillights and itll help keep the sun from fading/oxidizing them. It's much easier than wax to apply also. Just make sure you use a microfiber towel to wipe it back off.

Is the durability even close to what they claim it to be? I've been using liquid wax combined with spray wax for the past 8 months and even that combination begins to lose its beading properties after a couple months.

AKA the military HMMWV (Humvee) mod. Great for deep water situations and the 'DO NOT USE FOR' cruise control.

Can you provide a link for the outlet you used? The labeled cover is both safe and clean.

How is this done exactly? Is there a write-up on this MOD?

You'll have to ask these guys if they have a writeup. As for the HMMWV, there is a throttle control on the dash that allows the driver to set the throttle so they can drive with no foot on the accelerator. They are supposed to be used for fording water, but we usually used them as a cruise control.

Can it be used it a gas pedal itself so that feet can use clutch & brake pedals? Like a throttle on a ATV of some kind. Srry just extremely curious bout this

Yeah, you pull the lever to adjust the throttle in the same way you push the gas pedal except the lever stays in place and doesn't return to zero. So you set your throttle to whatever RPM/speed you want then take your foot off the brake to go. Down side is that it doesn't adjust for torque or speed changes or disengage automatically like the cruise control.

So it's like a clutch that can't stall? That sounds a lot like my dads old power king tractor. If you remember them... Lol

More like the tractor, but less of a clutch since it doesn't adjust on its own. The HMMWVs are all automatics so there's no clutch to factor. Just throttle or more appropriately, the stead stream of gas into the engine.

Kool. How would that work on a 4banger? Also saw a MOD before to convert 1st gear to granny gear. Like that as well.

Engine size doesn't matter, but I would be careful with the MT vs. AT. When I had my MT Ranger I used the hand brake to control the brake and my feet to control the clutch and gas. Safer, but you only control one wheel. There's also a hand brake mod on here somewhere.

Watch out for that grippy tape when you're wearing shorts. I took the tape off of mine after only a few months.

It doesn't work like an ATV throttle. You have to set the accelerator with your foot and this just holds it. For off road use only.
