The 'shreddedness' is more about the diet than anything, imo. I just do ppl cause I enjoy it.

I like food too much. I've tried changing my diet but then I just have cheat days 7 days a week. I have recently started the caloric deficit but I don't break it down by carbs, fats, proteins, etc. I just eat and stop eating when I hit my limit. I've dropped a few pounds but I still have a pooch on my abs. I still think I'm pretty lean and my calipers say I'm at 10%, and have been there for 2 years, so I think I'm doing alright...I'm no youtube persona...yet #dirkdigglerdiaries coming soon

Same here. I do great during the week with everything, but the weekends screw me up. I could be in single digits if I could get some self-control on the weekends..

You can make it simpler by just counting the protein and don't worry about the other 2 much as long as you're getting enough fats. Basically just hit your protein then stop when you reach your calorie goal.

IIFYM is the best thing I ever discovered. I eat chocolate and shit all of the time, and especially love the days I kind of forget to eat and get to pig out come dinnertime. I have gone from 216 lbs on Feb 1 of this year to 193 as of this morning... With right around 0 cardio. Definitely doable working in fast food.

I don't honestly worry about sodium. Maybe a week or so leading up to a show (which I only need about 20 more lbs of muscle to even be relevant aka I'm not show ready, just skinny haha), but for every day I just drink a lot of water and don't worry about it.

Once you get used to doing it... SO EASY. Finding your baseline is kind of tough, but once you know that number figuring out the meals is easy with a scale and MyFitnessPal. After a while you get pretty good at eyeballing portion sizes.

Oh I'm a big advocate of mfp and food scales. I'm taking about adding crap food back into my diet. I've been eating "clean" since August with very few cheats in between.

i don't worry about it either. im always on the road so i eat out everyday for lunch until about 2 weeks ago. also i try to drink a gallon of water a day. i've noticed with low sodium i feel a little leaner, but smaller. could be in my head.

My "unprofessional" recommendation at this point would be if you are not getting the cravings for junk food I would just stay away. You have moved mountains in terms of progress and who the hell am I to try and talk you out of that. I am just saying that if you count the macros there is nothing wrong with having a snack from time to time. However, your body is likely looking for any excuse it can to put on fat so you will need to be very leery of indulging too often as you will start to crave stuff.
