Could always just get a front and rear hitch and buy a winch on a cradle. That way if you do wind up getting stuck you can pull either forward or reverse to get unstuck.

People think they can drive on ice because they have the all mighty 4wd--until they have to brake and they're sliding into something.

The grey matter in between your ears is much more useful in not getting stuck than a front diff and transfer case.

Moon roof? Mine came with a free 5 foot moonroof in the rear with perfect views of the moon! My last vehicle had every bell and whistle they made and I found out I don't use, want or need all that stuff.I went with the basic Tacoma and love that about it.MSRP 33K As for 4x4 it is a must for me,where I live they expect God to remove the snow and he seems busy a lot.

IMO you're worse off in a 2wd truck than in a car as far as getting stuck. In my experiences in snow, I'll get stuck in the dumbest places in 2wd when cars will just zip around. I have 4wd so it's no issue for me to get going though lol. Trucks are so much lighter in the rear end than a car so they have that advantage over trucks. I personally would probably never own a 2wd truck. I'd rather have it and not use it than to need it and not have it.

TRD OR has a much beefier rear diff and axle than the TRD Sport or Limited... Might be something to consider if you're towing.

That works well when you have something to attach the hitch winch to...like a tree or large rock. Not so well on an open field or beach

The dealers in the Dallas area are advertising 2-3k off MSRP.

Do some research, TRD OR comes with a different rear end.

Tis true on the third gens. Not sure about the axles but the diff is beefier.

Toyota engineer told us at last years rock therapy and we all were giddy.

Yeah cause I'd much rather buy a $300+, heavy ass pull pal to lug around in my bed... than just get 4x4. Makes a lot of sense.

I think the non 4x taco's are fugly for starters. Low and awkward looking. I need it for getting into certain spots in campground while towing our camper.

Too much gear to buy and haul around when you could just turn a button on the dash and go....in the meantime raising the resale value and marketability of your vehicle.

I'd love to see the sidewalks you all wheel on, considering you believe that only having 4wd makes your truck unstoppable.

Exactly. If you're not gunna wheel it, at least get 4x4 to make your truck more desireable for resale.
