For louder horns for my new Tacoma, horns that hopefully will be easy replacements and fit into the existing brackets...

A lot of people run Hella horns. Fairly inexpensive and easy to hook up to the stock wiring and mounts.

There was a tacoma I saw on my commute that would do this in the tunnel of a freeway. What a piece of a sh1t.

I will honk in every tunnel from this point on for the rest of my life. I will recommend to every person I meet to do the same thing. I will convince congress it is a safety concern to NOT honk in a tunnel and have it federally mandated that all vehicles honk upon entering tunnels.

To answer the OP, are the horns on the 3rd gen as the 2nd gens? I took the baffles off and they are noticably louder with no issue with water intrusion.

I purchased this for my 2012 Subaru STi. Tested it on my 2013 Taco first and it wired up perfectly. Transferred it over to my 2016 Taco and there are already some threaded holes around the hood latch. I used the one where the factory horn was and there was another almost in the exact same spot on the other side of the hood latch. Subimods wiring harness is also really nice. The v2 harness is plenty long and makes it plug and play and everything is already weatherproofed on it. And they have them in a bunch of colors.

They work great. You never have to wonder if people are going to hear your horn again!

I installed the Quadzilla on my '15 STI. It is the business, and properly loud without being too stupid. But idiots might still spill their Starbucks, which was the intent.

 

I did hella horns in my truck. They are louder and certainly more attention grabbing. They dont attempt to spread sound down and out in every direction like the oem snail shell style horn. Hellas are more of a forward facing speaker. Sounds weenie inside the cab but the look of terror on stupid tourists faces says otherwise. Plus the tacoma already has a bolt hole for mounting. Instructions arent worth the paper they are printed on, but install is very simple. And throw out that relay, you'll only confuse yourself trying to figure it out

 

As long as they sound like a truck It's on my to do list also. I just haven't got around to making a trip to my buddy's wrecking yard and see what fits and sounds like a loud big full size truck.
