The sleeve dimensions will match the comp 4x4 ones, the bearing spacers will be different, currently the plan for brackets is up in the air. I include pop pin mounts on all mine, I usually make my own brackets custom fit to my bumper anyways. If you need ones custom to your bumper, maybe we can work that out for you Morgan

1/8th inch with weld washers, overlays, and tube gussets. Should be plenty I would think

Shock buckets for above suspension. Way easier and faster to build than tube style shock mounts. Uses less room.

Thank you, and I had his machine as hot as it would go, it was a little Miller 130(I think) I can't wait to get a new machine for myself.

That will do it. Could slow down a bit to compensate for it being too cold. It'll get a little better.

Alright. I tried posting some of this stuff in the "anything welding" thread....and it appears no one really welds in that section (on their truck anyway, for fabrication, so they did not provide as much help as I thought). I saw this thread and see everyone actually makes their own stuff which is perfect. This is a long post but I copy/pasted it from the welding thread to see if you guys could provide some feedback to me. I started out flux core welding about 1.5 weeks ago, just switched to gas yesterday for the first time (MIG).

    EDIT: I use a millermatic 141, .030 ER70S-6 wire on 1/8" coupons

    Copy/Paste

So, I only got to spend about 15 minutes trying out the gas set up, and what a difference! why didnt anyone tell me how shitty flux core wire was!!! (jk)

Took time to polish the metal....something I did only once with Flux Core (although I do think it actually made a good difference for that too). Top is the before, bottom is the after.

Both cleaned (used a DeWalt 4.5" grinder with a flap disc on it. (I know I didnt get quite all of it polished but I didnt care, they were test runs.)

    And the race was on. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .(DCEP)****

close up of the left side. This was my first pass from right to left.

Flipped the piece over to start again, right to left.

Far left close up of the last 2 passes

    Comparison from flux to gas

I will say, I am glad I first tried Flux since it gave me a lot to focus on getting some of the basics down. Im sure the gas welds are no where near perfect but this was all within 15 min of hookin it up and trying it. I still got some kinks to work out with the speed/amps ratio but its getting there.

Please feel free to critique anything, I'm just tryin to get better and want to eventually make all my own components (i.e. front/rear tower mounts, cab mount relocation, etc)
