Truth is, I don't see using this often. But it's better than hitting up a truck stop to shower...

This ones a bit smaller than yours obviously. I also have the shutoff on the shower handle instead of a valve. What psi. did you use?

 

I have the shower mod to keep the Mrs. happy while camping. Went out for spackle today for my new house, ended up revamping my pressurized Jerry can shower with our Maine trip two weeks away.

 

That was an idea I had to have constant pressure.. got a cheap regulator that never really worked and had a couple leaks so I'm going to give it another go in the future out of aluminum. This idea came up cuz last year in Vt. the Mrs. was half way through washing out shampoo when she yelled over to me to refill the jerry can with air lol. Figured I could make my own road shower with a twist, that mine will have constant feed air pressure so while its used its replenished. It was a rough go at it.. but I can see it working.

 

I built a PVC storage tube to keep water out, I keep fesh targets in mine.

 

So the hardest part of building this was finding a tap that was the correct thread for the 1/4" air line fittings... there are two holes, one for the input and regulator on the top and another for the output fitting for the shower hose. I went to 4 different places and finally found one at my local Ace Hardware of all places.
I had everything else pretty much assembled so today after work I tapped the holes and installed the air fittings. Then took it out back and filled it with water. Connected it to my shop compressor with the PSI turned down to around 70.
Fucker worked like a charm.
Still need to get a 90* angle for the output to clear the roof but other than that it's ready to throw on the truck.



No truck stop showers this trip.

 

I don't have anything to hide... Was planning on just parking with the drivers side facing out and just go buck behind the truck. No one wants to see me in my birthday suit.

 

It wouldn't hurt to add a T&P relief valve. With 70 psi and the sun your driving around with a water bomb on the truck.

 

It's only pressurized during use, not while being transported. I've also made it easy to remove so I can leave it back at camp.

 

This should work for you.

Good question... I saw that Cabellas one and $60 seemed a bit much for the little thing. I'd do $30 though.

Do you have something elevated to stand on? Taking a shower standing in the mud is kinda like takin' one step forward two back.

 

Lost the tire at 40mph this evening. No injurys, and thank God I was right down the street from @TOYTONKA. Dennis save the day with a floor jack.
Managed to get 3 lugs on and limp home wth him following.
Never been as scared driving in 26 years behind the wheel.

Not sure how I'm going to pull this trip off now.
