I'd add the M&P9 compact to that list. Slightly smaller than the G19, and I love the controls/ergos. G19 is a fine gun as well, of course. XD was my first centerfire firearm but I found I shot others more and it went down the road.

The HK P30L is on my short list, but I made an inquiry about a crazier 9mm today that I don't want to jinx by discussing until I can verify inventory and get it ordered.

My buddy was gonna buy a shield 9 and i had an email from sportsman's guide (i think) and i clicked on handguns and their top selling 9mm was the taurus mellenium g2 and it was on sell for $250 (2 12rnd mags included) i told him to go to academy and hold one, he wound up goin to the pawn shop by his house and they had them for $219 and he came home with one that day. We put 100 rounds thru it yesterday and its definately the best new gun under 250 ur gonna find. It does have an external safety but i guess u could leave that off all the time if u want. Its striker fire and has a super short reset. Its basically the same size as the shield (just a little wider since its double stack) and it seems to me like the perfect blend of glock and sig. May wanna consider lookin at one of those as well ( also sig makes a 20 round mag that, according to the web, will fit) and it comes in a 10+1 .40 cal too.

Oh dang i didnt realize u were in commifornia so scratch that 20 round mag and maybe those 12 rounders to. (are yall 10 and under?) none of that is an issue for me since i am 100% wheel guns and my biggest holds 7 for now, (well i had a 9 shot .22 but gave it back to my father in law)

My guess would be an action that doesn't allow the it to cycle when you pull the trigger and requires it to be worked manually.
I know that there's a pump-action AR out there designed specifically to meet the ridiculous requirements of CA's laws.

CZ75, Sig P229 (or 6) and Walther PPQ are some I would consider

I like the PPQ but it's not on the Nazi California gun roster  The Sig trigger pull is too long for my taste. I'll look up the CZ75 though. Thanks for the input

Looking for optics for my various uppers, all currently have MBUS unless otherwise stated.

16" 556 flattop (Rear MBUS, front A2), Use: general plinking
16" 6.8ARP Use: plinking, hunting from tree stand/stalking
7.5" 556 (Cheap UTG red dot, no BUIS) Use: plinking, home defense

Thinking about a nikon 2-7x32 for for the 6.8, holosun red dot for the 7.5".
Not sure what I want to do for the 16", I'm thinking a YHM folding front sight, keep the rear MBUS, and some type of red dot with flip to side magnifier.

Got my belt fed pistol running finally. Semi-auto only, but with the SD3G trigger it runs fast enough for me. Besides, three boxes of ammo per belt goes fast enough! Still haven't decided on an optic for it, mostly hip shooting for now.

I bet it would be really quiet with a can, having no gas system and all. I could see it used for it's intended purpose, namely hunting. Most places only allow 5 rounds for hunting rifles, even then you only need one if the shooter does his part.

Bama is 10+1 ROLL TIDE!!! I would normally agree with u on the 1 shot philosophy but we do have some wild hogs here that travel in pretty large groups so there are some exceptions

Holy crap, they let you use #2 shot on turkeys in Mississippi? We're limited to #4 bird or smaller up here.
