Yes, you have to get an alignment after changing suspension...

    So here's my config:

8 threads showing on top of the pinch ring. This puts me at a little over 2.25" lift. The below measurements are from center of hub to the fender.

Ride: 23"3/8 (according to the Toytec lift thread, stock is 21")
    Droop: 25"5/8

This puts me at over 2" of wheel droop, in my opinion right where you want to be in the shock's travel range. I haven't stuffed the tire yet to get my max compression measurement. What other numbers are you lookin for?

Thanks, will follow that. What alignment numbers did you go with (Toe, Caster Camber) after install?

Tow is standard (the wheel alignment shop didn't tell me what they set it to, I think like 3/16" towed in). Caster is unchanged thanks to the new UCA's (3-5degrees positive). Camber is zero (plus or minus 1 degree).

Last question (promise), the UCAs, how much grease did you put on them? I've read anywhere from 2 to 5 pumps, how many did you do?....I am looking forward to tomorrow and getting these things on!!!

I was told by dealer whenever you go into S it always goes to fourth gear. That is to protect the tranny from someone hitting it into S while going 70 MPH. Even at a dead stop it goes into 4th just downshift before you start out..

No worries! I lubed the inside of the bushings before install, and did 2 pumps once installed. I used anti seize on any metal to metal surface.

I followed this YouTube video, it is pretty much the same on 2nd/3rd gen. Bend the inside fenders to get the UCA bolt out, then bend back in place once installed.

Excellent, thanks a lot. I have been watching that video over and over since I ordered my King's, I am ready to go! Since I am doing the rear as well I will take measurements and share, not sure if there will be any difference.

The manual states to put it into M 5 when towing, it doesn't start off in 5th, try it from a light, move it over so it says M 4 and pull away, you'll see it changes as usual. If you go to M 1 and move it up to 2 it'll shift to 2, then 3 and 4 etc

*Edit* however! it does say that up to 3rd can be used at a standstill... will try it on way home, this makes sense as most AT allow this, even my old BMW 330 let me start in 2nd for icey conditions etc

Pretty sure you've already figured it out or broke a tab trying..
Just access tabs from inside engine bay.

Love the rod holder. Wish they made one for spinning reels.

I've been watching this video too, and I've convinced myself I can do this. I haven't found a video that inspires confidence in changing out my leaf yet, though :(

I am not planning on changing leafs but I have seen many videos where they show the process and the most important thing one should make sure to do is to clamp them together with big, and reliable clamps before undoing the bolts, other than that a couple of jacks to help bring them down would be helpful.

It's actually really easy. Hardest part is drilling out the rivet and removing one of the spring clamps if you're installing a progressive Aal. Don't have to do that step however if you're just installing a single aal

I was under the impression this wasn't so much a "sport" mode but a means of controlling the transmission better. For instance. I went off-roading with some buddy's and it kept trying to shift in and out of second. I just moved it over to limit it to go as high as second gear and it helped tremendously. It stopped hunting for the right gear and kept the torque where I needed it.

Well done! Which compressor model did you go with? Any insights you have on the install would be helpful, as I'm about to go through a similar exercise. What all do you plan to use yours for?

I've got about 6k miles on mine, I often find myself stomping on the go pedal to get the engine to wake the hell up, frustrating to say the least. I'm sure it was designed this way for fuel economy, but if I wanted a Prius I would have bought one.

I'm at the dealership now getting the vibration when decelerating and rear diff howling looked at, I asked about any TSBs and he looked it up and said there were none yet for my v6 TRDOR DCSB 4wd. I thought I read in another thread the transmission TSB was for the 4 cyl.

It's not like a manual transmission where you control the actual gear. From the manual "Selecting shift ranges using S mode restricts the upper limit of the possible gear ranges, controls engine braking forces, and prevents unnecessary upshifting." So in your case where you were having issues with it shifting between 2nd and 3rd, setting it to S-2 would prevent that but still allows it to downshift to 1st. If you start out in S-4, it's going to going to go through the normal range of gears 1-4, but not go into 5th or 6th. The manual says that going from D to S sets it to 4th or 5th depending on speed or 3rd if "AI-SHIFT" has operated while in D but I've never had it go into anything other than S-4 even when going 70MPH+.
