Yeah i saw that a while back when it first came out. Think the only advantage the ridegline has over the tacoma is in the snow. Looking forward to how it does up the gold mine hill, along with ike gauntlet.

Only thing I'm confused about is apparently the FWD models i believe has the snow and normal mode. The AWD models have the same plus sand and mud.

How can the FWD models have snow mode, thought that was only an AWD thing...

They probably drag the rear breaks to stay in line?

^^^^^ That.. where's the hills and the rocks? Ok level playing field go to the beach or something. Looks like a farm with DIRT roads. Not the hugest test for a 4WD truck but I guess they had to dumb it down for the Honda. Heck I could do all of that with my wife's Honda CR-V. I like the Tacoma commercials they play on race day tbh.

I thought the same thing, sometimes I wish someone would have lapped them in a old beat up civic on that course.

If the ridgeline came in stick and wasnt so butt ugly in the front id consider it. The funny thing is the ridgeline used to look wierd from behind and good up front. Now it's the opposite.

Driver: It's front wheel drive then rear as needed.
    Honda Engineer: Completely wrong.

Then honda engineer goes on to explain it is front wheel drive then senses when to distribute the power as needed.

    Honda Engineer: It's better.
    Driver: How?
Honda Engineer: Can't really tell you how it's proprietary....

    ummm, I call BULLSHIT!

as for dirt road, yea, just any other fire road...

Yeah we're talking about the guys that "oh let's take a CR-V off road" and also damaged a new 4Runner on a super tight "trail" because it was off road.

I think a rally Subaru would have done all those courses. Just with a good skidplate and you'd be flying through that course.

Says the guy whose sig is a literally a truck on a flat dirt road.

99%+ of truck owners don't go boulder crawling; fire/logging roads at worst, sometimes sand and snow. The video accurately depicts what "off road" means to the typical consumer, ESPECIALLY the consumer that the Ridgeline is aimed it. Its torque-vectoring AWD is actually superior on these types of surfaces than 4HI with open diffs.

The '"Boulders or bust, brah" people on here make me want to buy a TRD Pro, lower it, install drag slicks on 22" wheels, and then slap on a "It's a Tacoma thing, you wouldn't understand" bumper sticker purely to aggravate them.

this honda guy's a weiner. If he was a salesman I'd come back another day. Obviously he's going to be biased, but you could make a drinking game out of how many times he says REALLY

If you want AWD get a Toyota multi-mode 4wd with a lockable centre diff. Best of both worlds.

Tacoma has a frame, Ridgeline is unibody, like a minivan. There are no real trucks without frames.
