So I'm not positive that this info has any basis in reality, but when I was going through my battle with the dealership about the transmission, I actually took some long nice drives with their lead tech. He was stoked on the truck...we became close. Anyway I asked him about the under powered and apparently the engine uses 2 types of injection of which it only relies on 1 during normal driving for the sake of fuel economy. He mentioned port injection during normal and computer will add direct injection when it senses that you need it. At least that was the explanation when I let him experience the "power band". Anyone have input on it's validity?

This is the second time I have heard about this. I had Airaids prototype intake on my truck talking to their engineer he said the port injection also is to clean the valves because direct injection can't. He was super stoked on the tech of the new 3.5 motor.

Just ordered locking bed storage doors. Will be nice not to have to worry about stuff getting stolen out of them. They have a coupon code that gave me 22 bucks off. SPRING2016. I'll post pics when I get them.

So today and yesterday my satellite radio has been cutting in and out really bad. It will do this time to time if trees, bridges, tunnels, etc. are in the way. However this is happening now when I am stationary or driving in wide open areas. It will also cut out for a much longer period of time now too. Curious if anyone else is experiencing this?

I bought a year subscription a few months ago so its nothing to do with my subscription. My only guess is the satellite(s) are in a weird spot currently??

Mine will cut in and out from time to time as well but when it goes out for an extended period it only affects the station I'm currently on.

...^^^... On one vehicle I had ... the SiriusXM antenna lead got loose and had to be pushed in.

You can get "signal cut out" from obstacles ... and perhaps your location to the satellite too.

I am experiencing the same thing when under trees or driving through downtown with the tall buildings surrounding me. Sirius has been calling me to try and get me to extend my trial period and buy a subscription. When I talked to them yesterday they said they could send a signal refresher out to my unit and see if that would help. You might try calling them and seeing if that would help. He also told me they are releasing the feature in the next couple of days that will allow you to have a text sent to your phone and then you can refresh your signal whenever you would like.

I don't have mine installed yet but you can order a half-width bar (1" as opposed to 2") to mount behind the antenna...

Or maybe you could rotate one of the 2" bars with the shorter side up? Not sure if it will clear the roof though.

Yup. Put it on the back hole and turn it vertical. Run one bolt.
