It's less Tacoma and more mod
The frame almost seems acceptable if cleaned up, but that axle and all the little extremities are boned, well and truly.

Yeah, it needs to be cleaned in order to really see how bad it is. That second to last photo makes me want to throw up

I have Grabber AT2s and they are Load Range C. I think his KO2s are Load Range E.
SL could refer to Speed Rating?

Yea, the pressure stays right about 34psi, except for through the 8 month winter here. It's not extreme wear by any measure, but noticeable to someone who has experience with tires. I suspect its just because the tread blocks are so big out on the shoulder of the tire. Like I say my buddies autorities on his jeep wear the exact same way mine have been. But I've had mine on for about three years now and even after atleast a dozen drives from Wyoming to Seattle and Portland and back, I'd guess they still have 60-70% treadlife still. I really don't have any complaints. They balance easy and other than the odd wear I've been real happy with them.

Only reason I haven't been digging into it is because I'm afraid of what I'm gonna find, honestly might not even be worth getting a new axle or anything we are deciding whether to just part it out or make it a big money pit and I'm leaning towards parting it out, you think it's salvageable if I don't find frame flaws? The cross members are pretty bad though. It does run and drive fairly well (yes we took it around the block)

Also fuel filler neck has a huge rust hole in it so to put gas in we have to use a funnel and tube otherwise half of whatever you pour in comes right back out

Rear brake lines are shot so those would need replacing.

Trans cooler needs new tubing since that leaks.
Body is in nice shape actually besides some minor rust areas.
Interior is good besides a nasty headliner.
We will have to dig deeper I'll report back with the horrors that I find...

Then perhaps the TRD package doesn't affect what rear diff ratio the truck came with. I read it a while ago, so my memory on it is probably off.

Nah it's what it says on both my tire (well that says 'Standard Load' but that's what SL stands for) and on their website: http://generaltire.com/tires/light-truck-crossover-suv/grabber-at2

Do you not have 265/70R16? The load rating varies with different sizes.

I went with C load and couldn't be happier with the performance... I do have a small trailer at 6x14 used to be a 70's camper and is now a flat trailer occasionally loaded to aprox. 4000lbs that I have towed several hundred miles at a time before... E load is major overkill and limits flex >limiting traction on a light truck like our tacoma's.

Why does my SR5 TRD Double Cab not have keyless entry stock.....come on. My truck is one trim level away from top of the line. It never bothered me until I saw an TRD Access Cab with it stock. Now I'm peeved. What's the installation process like? Could I go to a junk yard and remove the computer and plug it in directly to my truck?

Or a remote start. Both will give you keyless entry.

I don't want a cheesy alarm system. I know nothing about that brand though.
Don't really have a need for remote start. Would cost more than just plain old keyless entry.

    Head unit. That's it.

Viper is who made the RS for toyota, no?

Mine is an AC, and it has the optional alarm with keyless....(just to rub it in...)

But I thought Viper was basically the brand behind the alarm.....
