What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

one i got is smaller then my factory corolla fob. and you can get they keys with the buttons built in

I don't like the buttons in the key. I like it seperate

 

Pick one and go for it. Research. I got Compustar Pro. Tells me if someone touches my fkin truck.

 

See I don't want something like that. It's a 15 year old truck. If someone messes with it, I have insurance. Ideally, I'd want the stock system

 

Cheesy? Viper is one of the best there is. 2 way remote ftw. I can see on the lcd remote when the truck is locked/unlocked, whenever a sensor is triggered (loud ricer mufflers typically will trip this), what sensor is triggered, what door is opened etc.

 

Yeah I don't want a screen on my keychain.

 

It also comes with an extra fob with no screen I reject your reality and substitute my own.

 

What's the point of paying for all the fancyness if I won't use it?

 

Extra security, peace of mind! But it was just a suggestion, I used to drive downtown a lot.

 

Like I said, I'm really not worried about it. It's an old truck. About the only thing I would think someone would steal off of it would be my light bar.

 

Kinda why I haven't fixed my hail damage on my hood, being 2 years younger than yours.

 

I'd fix hail damage probably...Yours was pretty bad from what I remember

 

Yeah I'd say an 8/10. But it is an old truck Anyways I have next week vacation so I'm anticipating to spend a lot next week, and some real goodies for the truck.

 

Also it's been raining a lot lately and humid, haven't seen the sun out in the past week and knowing my luck if I get the hood fixed it'll hail again.

 

Nice! I just hate hail damage. If I cause body damage doing something I like (like wheeling) I won't feel near as obligated to fix it rather than getting damage from something out of my control

 

That's odd..did you buy your truck new? If not the keyfob might just be lost.

 

Isn't there like a module underneath the seat?

 

I am the 3rd owner of my truck. My uncle bought it when it was hardly used, then I got it from him. I looked behind the driver kick panel and the computer is not there.
