I contacted that eBay seller (embree specialty machine) and they seem like good folks. First off, they gave me their personal cell number for pictures, not sure why it couldn't be done over email but whatever works. I need 2 new rotors and they said they could locate some for me. Now I just need more money.

I sent them an email. Wish I bought that kit first. Would have saved like 120$

Not yet but I probably will in the near future. Their rotor coating is supposedly better.

I'm not sure for the 3.4. I asked for my 4.7 blower, and no one has anything for those. But it does seem like they are the only ones that list parts for them.

Here's what I'm dealing with for rotors. I'd imagine it made a pretty constant and annoying sound. Haven't had the chance to run it yet so idk. They told me one may be able to be salvaged with some machining but not sure until I send it in.

Eh everything can be fixed. Just depends on how broke you'll be afterwards. All this did was delay my install till next year. Still a decent deal for a project that no one has ever tried, so long as the tolerances didn't shoot too far off from the guy running it like that. So I figured since this will be a year long ordeal that I would just have everything ported while I wait it out.

I did contact them about it but they said my rotors most likely won't be acceptable cores. I had the feeling they would say that so I asked before I bought.

Why wouldn't they be acceptable as cores? Hmm wonder if they would accept mine

One of mine is nicked pretty bad so that one is completely unusable. I believe they want cores that they can recoat for one of their rebuilds later on. They did tell me it would be cheaper, shipping and labor wise, if you separate the MP90 from the supercharger unit itself and send just that in.

Those look pretty good. Just the coating is worn down. Give them a call and I bet they'll give you their personal cell too for pictures. Or just buy the kit on eBay and send it on in.

Yeah I figured they wouldn't accept them. Rather keep the rotor pack and sell the other parts for some extra cash.

You would be fine, that is typical wear and tear. The coating comes off quicker with the 7th injector installed.

It was actually a one off left over pack from a random vendor. It was a reverse spin pack, but all I did was swap the gear around and boom it worked perfectly. Luckily I didn't have to do a core refund as my core was F'd. haha

Awhile ago I saw a complete NIB TRD MP90 rotors, housing, and snout on eBay for $500. But it disappeared before I decided to pull the trigger. The auction expired but I never saw it go back up for sale. :(

Yeah, I bought mine within 2 hours of seeing it. Even with the reverse drive I couldn't pass up the deal.

You could, but just depends on what is actually going on in there. You could really mess up the rotors and housing if they are contacting.

I think the noise is just the rotors contacting eachother since the housing looked good. I won't be able to address the rotors until after the move now. Wish I just bought that kit to begin with lol
