if theyre putting on new shocks an everything $1000 seems like a good price, find out what the price of the kit is and what it comes with then go from there, at my local off road shop suspension install with UCA's AAL's and new shocks install is about $500

oh and it might be better to just buy the kit online and bring it to them and have them just install it or have them price match the kit with the online price, usually dealerships will mark the kit up by like $200

I think I saw you mention somewhere which light bar setup you went with but can't find it. I'm looking at a mictuning 30" double stack bar and a heavy duty harness. You do the install? I'm debating doing it under the grill like you or maybe getting a lightweight bumper bar to mount it.

At 75mph I get around 18mpgs. It sucks, but the look and functionality make up for it in my opinion. Just today I almost got stuck in the sand. I think with the factory tires I really would have been stuck

Seems like there's quite a few threads for guns & dogs and often times they get intertwined with plenty of other topics as well.

There's no reason for people to get butt hurt over it.

You would like these lights, during daytime I wasn't sure how they would be, but at night they light up very nice. I'm happy I got them.

Search for Mattgecko on this site he sells them and can give you better info than I can. He has the lights connected together for the front and sides rails already all nicely done. He sends all necessary parts and wiring with package ( wire hot and ground, switch, pull ties, sticky pads to hook pull ties to etc). Very simple wiring from lights to switch to ground and battery. I put a fold a cover on a couple weeks ago and couldn't see inside at night, now with the lights I can see everything very well. 1st picture is where I put my switch (I have a SR5 and don't have the electric in the bed where he puts his)second picture is the lights in daytime

I have a tri-fold on my tacoma and likewise I can't see the back at night for that last item. I will look for Mattgecko, thanks.

What roof rack is that? The Thule Aeroblade? Does it make any noise or is it actually quiet like they advertise? I know the instructions say keep the bars within a certain distance of each other, but what would happen if you moved that rear bar back more? I need to carry longer loads.
I loved my Thule (old style and with a fairing to keep it quiet) on my 4Runner and need to get something for the Tacoma, I have a short bed, and moving 12 ft lumber or my 11 ft kayaks aren't really working as well as the 4Runner, and I would rather not pull the trailer all the time.

OK still cant get the full effect from a video but here is a clip of the regular 40 series. It shows you can hear it in the cab with windows up and radio on. But it doesnt really show how deep it is. But i tried....

For the record i never red line the truck. I rev'd it up to 4K.
