I'm getting ready to order most of parts for my lift I'm planning on running the following:
    Front:
    Bilstein 5100s
    OME 885s
Leveling top plate spacer depending on outcome of the rear

    Rear:
    Bilstein 5100s
    2" aal (http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspension/Leaf-Springs.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=101&t_pt=4113&t_pn=TGI300598-1-KIT)

*I'm only expecting to get about 1.5-1.75" out of the aal

I've got about 90k miles on my DCLB, my question is do I need to replace the strut mounts? And do I need longer you u-bolts for the rear?

All input is greatly appreciated! I'm looking to almost level the truck with only a slight rake.

2" aal is too much rake. I have the same setup with a 1.5" aal and still have 3/4" of rake. My front end is 2.25" s higher after settling and you will need the 1/4" lean spacer.

That's what I've been thinking too. What size tires are you running?

I did the 2" AAL but I'm running a topper. I still have a very slight rake with 885's and Billys. I did use the .25" top plate spacer and it's even. Not much settling over the last 1500 miles.

Running 265/70/17 Cooper A/T3's - Nice and quiet. Slight rub on one of the front mud flaps at full reverse so I took em off. I did also get the front diff vibe right after lifting. Will get around to the TSB at my dealer at some point soon.

Overall happy with the 885, Billy and 2" AAL combo.

I'd agree with the 1.5 for you if you're not running any weight in the back - unless you're going for a more aggressive rake. I think mine would have had bro lean with the 1.5 - just slightly.

edit - correct for right tire size.... 17s

Yeah, I've already take my front mud flaps off, damn ground scrapers. I'd like to be able to run 285s but I the way your truck sits @ZRXDean now I've just got to find an 1/2" AAL.

I've currently got about 2.5" of rake so with a 1/4 and a 1/2" topper should put me right where I need to be. Right? or should I just ignore my current rake?

I would go with 885's, Billys, 1.5 AAL and .25 spacer for taco lean and you'll probably be OK. You'll probably have a little rake or be level unless you're running a cap like mine. Every truck's a little different. I got exactly 2.5 inches of lift up front and about 1.5 (maybe a bit less) out of the 2" AAL - again, I'm running the extra weight in the back so I got a little more sag. Left me with about 3/4 of an inch of rake - maybe a bit less - I haven't measured lately.

2.5 of current rake sounds like a lot.... mine had like and inch and three-quarters stock.

To be clear - I was rubbing on the little mudflaps in the front of the wheel well - I replaced the stock snow shovel front flaps with Huskys. I could probably fit 285's but didn't want the mileage hit. I'm down about a half a mile per gallon with the slightly larger-than-stock Coopers.

Yeah I forgot how to read a tape measure, measured this morning and got about 1 3/4" What do you have your Billys set at? I don't think I'll even bother with front flaps, I've wanted them off since I bought the truck

I've looked at this and looked at this some more! Feel like I'm just over thinking it!

I'm running the Billys at 0 since I'm running aftermarket coils - I've read that bad things happen when using settings other than 0 with aftermarket coils. Apparently you preload the shock and reduce down travel or something like that.

It's easy to overthink it - I did the same thing. There's tons of options out there. You may want to also consider what the intended use of your lift is.... You should consider more performance oriented suspension if offroading more - OME or ICON of even King. Me, I don't offroad much and mines pretty much a mall queen - so the Billys suit my needs.

There - even more stuff for you to consider!

Exactly the AAL I'm running. Results in my pic above.

Haha Thanks!! Yeah, not much offroading for me, I live out east. The most offroading I do is driving on the beach and driving down hunting roads.

I've heard that about running aftermarket coils with the 5100s above 0 so don't really want to do that. I've already got my struts and coils ordered now just figuring out the rear!
Another option could the HS 3-leaf Progressive, but trying to do this on a budget you know! I don't haul much and only occasionally pull a trailer so I don't really feel the need for that.

I think i'm just going to go with the Deaver! :D

what setting are your 5100s on. I'm looking for a small lift with stock coils and a single AAL. No hard topper in the back. Fine with slight factory rake

I'm running 885's on zero, not stock coils.

The amount of lift you're looking for would determine the setting on your 5100s. But by keeping the factory spring you're going to get a rougher ride, I'm with @3coma get aftermarket coils. That's the route i'm going:

    OME 885 coils
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LQAO9Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Front Bilstein 5100s
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O89FDSI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Rear Bilstein 5100s
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BYNJ93...TF8&colid=1J0DWHB1ZJ066&coliid=I3VI1JZKEU6XJM

And then the Taco Lean Spacer and Deaver AAL from Headstrong Offroad

This setup should get you 2.5" easy with no rake

That's a great way to go! I'm going the route above, cause its just a bit cheaper :) I've got my front shocks and coils just trying to save up enough $$$ for the rest!
