Found a brand new OEM bumper for sale in the local classifieds. Paid $150 Came in a toyota box with a shipping lable dated 2000. I gave my bent up rusty bumper away to somebody who was using as a base to bulid an off road bumper.

Funny, my original bumper is all pushed up and starting to rust in that exact same place.

If there are any sports car clubs/"ricers" in the area you might want to ask them too. Most of them have after market keyless/remote start and audio systems that were installed by some shop.

 

Because it is a catch-all for road salt and dirt under there. 3rd Toyota. 3rd rusted out bumper.

Pretty sure it is rust. I think maybe from the cup that holds the bearing. The tone ring is also oxidized.

Funny thing, it's actually the top heat shield, not the bottom one like I had originally suspected. The rear O2 sensor was just resting against the top shield and causing the rattling noise.

Got my pin switch installed.



Now the pin switch grounds the LED's in the switches when the box is open.

 

I bought it that way and it is slowly peeling from the shitty job the PO had done to it. It looks to be rolled on or brushed on, with silver underneath. Just keeps my shit from getting wet really, there are parts that are delaminating also, gonna be a project of its own one day, but not to-day.

Because I'm not driving to AR/TX to buy a used camper shell.

The factory did not install your RS3000/3200. It was installed either at the port of entry or by the dealer before delivery.
