For like $28,000 you can have a 2nd gen locked, geared, 3" lift on 35s, full armor, winch, snorkel, dual battery, ARB fridge, custom stereo, canopy, and more. @Slimwood Shady will sell you his truck.

If i hadnt already dropped so much cash into my own rig at this point i'd prob take you up on that.. but alas, being young and dumb has its perks.. i'll convert to 4wd, and thatll solve 90% of my problems and worries when im wheeling, 35's are no-where in my plans, and my 33's are plenty enough.

Got a 3/16 shert of clear lexan at a jobsite today, was going in dumpster, rerouted that sucker to my truck. Will do the back window and cut a front. Will tint it too. Feels flimsy, but once in the frame should be good?

At least you can take things home that are being thrown away at your job. At my plant nothing is allowed out without an official property pass. I have personally thrown away probably close to $500k worth of "trash" that we just don't have room for anymore. The things I could build / garage setup I would have if I could keep even 1% of the material we throw away... Yay big corporations?

After looking at my trusses for the shop last night, and doing some thinking, I decided I am going to stick frame the roof instead. This way I can raise the ceiling height up to 12' or better to accommodate a lift in the future. It will also look better. The materials list will not be a lot, but I will need several more sheets of plywood and shingles.

The truss pitch is a 4/12 I am going to stick frame a 6/12 16 O.C. and raise the rafter ties up off the top plate about 3'. This will open up the shop even more .

We put a 12/12 on my brothers house a few months ago. It really isn't that bad if you do it right. We also used this really awesome roof underlayment, "titanium" I think it was. That shit is super thin but sticky as hell. You could walk up it no problem, way better than felt. I would use that on the shop but I already have enough 30# to do the whole thing, which was free to me.

Yes adding stories on existing houses is cool, just hope it doesn't rain!

I had enough metal roofing to do my shop until some asshole stole it off the property! Still kinda mad about that.

I will credit @ahspurlock for part of the stick frame decision. The comment about ceiling height for the lift is what started the wheels turning. I could have made the truss height work, but moar is better, right?!
