    Hey,

I did some research and saw some fabrications for the last generation, but not exactly what I was looking for.

I was moving a couch this morning and tore up my tail gate edge guard. Has anyone seen these as OEM replacements, if so how much. I couldn't find an after market 2016 replacement. The 2015 Voodoo one was nice, but I dont like the huge gap.

Any advice would be appreciated. I can't believe how soft this plastic is. 2 guys carrying a love seat weren't moving that fast. The metal frame of the couch got some deep cuts in.IMG_0227.jpg

As soon as I buy a 3rd gen, I will have side rail caps and a tailgate cap available.

The weak plastic sucks for you, but I'll shamelessly take advantage of it.

Ouch ... sorry for your loss! I think there's a fabricator that makes metal guards for the tailgate face not sure about the cap there .... Mobtown makes the skin but not the cap.

You know "that shit will buff right out?" :headbang:

Try these guys they may have what you need:

I'm going to follow this thread. I moved a dryer and got some pretty deep cuts in mine as well. I just shrug it off because it's a truck and that's just some battle damage, but if there's a cap for it similar to 2nd gen, I'd like to find one as well.

Toyota plastic has the strength of warm cream cheese.

Ya say that again, it was the slowest hit you could imagine, if the truck wasn't 2 months old I probably wouldn't care. Atleast it was an easy to replace part and not the paint!

As soon as you guys make it, I will buy it! Hopefully, something close to the OEM look in metal. I love the Voodoo Gen 2, but the gap between the metal and the bed gets my OCD going. Any way to make it wrap around a bit?

The gap is so small that it's a non issue for most people.

Chad are you in the market for a 2016
Because of the curvature of the tailgate (thicker at the center than at the edges), you can't really make it follow that closely unless you stamp it from steel. And there isn't enough volume to make the tooling worth it.
