This scares me......

 

Well the G4 Elite showed up today. After the excitement, the install began. The install is a bit tedious, though fold a cover stated the 16 is much easier. Having two people made it go smoother. Now I'll try not to bore you guys. Trying to read xeroxed, dark picture instructions, I proceeded to assemble the various bolt and brackets. Shame on me for not having lock tight when the damn thing came. I thought they could provide a small tube for the price. Fast forward to torquing bolts. Got a little to much on the front rail mounts. It didn't take much to bend the bracket. After that incident I was very careful torquing the rest. I attempted to straighten the bracket with some success. Due to the bend the front of the cover does not have the 32nd to 16th clearance as instructed. Which also made the latch system very snug. With the available adjustments it closes and locks, but force is needed. Going to call and see if replacement brackets can be sent out. Their are four obvious places for water to get in at the corners. One of the wind rail pads is misshapened from the factory. Overall I think I'll be happy once the seals settle and I replace the brackets.

 

Blue OR twinsies! I like the long bed too, but short bed turning radius on trails is really nice too! I board on crystal and Stevens every season, used to live in west Seattle but now a little further south in Maple Valley since we wanted a house. You still in WA or move out of state?

I think after 1072 pages of Plasti dip, LED interior lights, TRD rims, bed mats and KO2 tires we're all ok with some cat/dog/gun talk.

Nice I miss crystal soo much but its getting expensive i hear... I understand moving out of town its getting bad, which is why i now live in montana! I can have my dirtbike loaded in my truck and leave work and be riding in 20 min. When i left seattle i had at a minimum a hour and a half drive to get to any type of riding. If you ever make your way out hit me up and we can find some good trails!
