What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

That may be the case, but the dealership printed out the order form for the truck. Everything is listed including the package, and the alarm system. It even states "No Sunroof".

 

Anyone know how much a real clean '88 pickup with 165k miles should go for? I found this real nice truck that seems too good to be true for $2500 he calls it a tacoma so I'm 99% sure its a scam

Opinions: All-Pro Leaf vs. Dakars. Pros/Cons, which is better?

 

I doubt it's a scam. If it were a scam, they would not want you to go test drive it.

Also, the price is not unduly low. Another indicator of a scam.

 

dakars:i will say this about them.... i have had a few trucks in the past have leaf spring replacements and i cant believe how smooth they are with my 5100's.. i personally love the choice i made but im sure others will have their opinions also like alcons i think they are called.

Started getting a squeak from my stock driver side UCA (I think). Don't know why but don't think its bad.

 

For the price, I went with AP. Free shipping this weekend saved me more than the TW discount they offer. Some times my wallet has a bigger say in my purchases than my wife.

 

Could have waited a month and saved 15% in the Walker Evans GB going right now but then again it's a whole nother month just to save $67

EDIT: Nvm you have to purchase Walker Evans shocks to be able to get the extra 15% off

 

I just feel like Alcan is the way to go for me. I don't keep enough weight in my truck to get expos. I dunno. I still need to save up some more so we'll have to see...

 

For the ap expo pack will having a double cab Tacoma an a rear plate bumper be enough weight to make the expos smooth?

Planning on doing a rear shock mount relocation adding a crossmember up higher to mount the new shocks

I said "I have a toolbox and a RTT but plan on getting a rear bumper with swing out" he said to go with the Expos.

You'd wanna add either a camper or RTT in addition to the plate bumper I think

 

Alright thanks! This means the ap expo pack won't really fit what I'm looking for in a leaf pack. Always good to figure that out before you buy them

 

On a side note I did the rear diff breather mod today. Super easy and ran it into my fuel tank door with the stock diff breather.

Was planning on running the mojave trail this weekend but an unexpected medical condition with a family memeber put the trip on hold. Guess I'll have to test the diff breather another time
