I saw a guy that built a four kayak rack that he rolled on and off of a utility trailer. Dual purpose trailer plus something to store the boats on.

I built a kayak rack for the back of my old truck out of 1.5" schedule 40 PVC. It works fine and cost about $80.

How did you secure it? And, how much will it hold? I have 3 needing to be hauled (stacking them will be a whole different issue!)

I secured it with chain and screw buckles. I have no idea how much weight it will hold, but it works for my one little Yak.

    Plans for the holiday weekend??

Working my a$$ off. Gonna go ahead and pick up some scaffolding and a lumber package tomorrow .

We will see if last minute planning works. That's how I roll. Women call it "spontinaity", I prefer "poor planning and look aheads", but who cares :notsure:.

Seriously, this whole roof thing is driving my brain crazy
:goingcrazy:. It has been at least 10 years since I have cut rafters, and stick built a roof. Should be like riding a bike right? I've done some refresher reading.
