yeah the clearance height is a factor. I don't want to lift this truck, so the Taco overall is better fit, mainly b/c it's a 4cyl 4x4. I'll probly wait 1-2yrs and keep an eye out for a good new taco deal, used are to rare. No way i'm getting rid of my Accord. give it to my wife and trade her POS in which in1-2yrs will be more than ready. Must say I love my Accord 4cyl/5spd. 30-36 MPG's and a blast to drive, comfortable, quiet and looks great. Not to mention almost zero dollars in maintenance cost. Oil changes go 7-10k b/c I follow the cars Oil life meter system. Change the gear box oil every 40k and coolant is 100k item and plugs are iridium. Theres literally nothing to do to this car, it's so good it bores me.

If I wanted to troll, I would go to a Toyota forum and ask why I should purchase a taco with pros and cons. The same goes with purchasing a frontier.:)

You are pretty good at showing your 10 years of mental age. Why bash someone just because he has a different opinion than majority? That is pretty close-minded if your ask me.

    Canadianboy,

Thanks, BUT NO F!@#$%^& way.......If Toyota was not around...a Ford Ranger would be.....I've twisted wrenches ( still do on my own;) ) and "painting that broad of a pix" is off,my 2 cents but Nissan customer service sucks:(.....Got friends up here who liked their "Deal" until it needed service:mad::rolleyes:...
When we could not find a Toyota I liked in '90 ,a Ranger XLT X-tra cab filled the driveway;( the only 2wd we have ever owned;) )....never a problem and when we sold it in '97,made $$ back..

We have looked at both the car and truck side of Nissan( Altima/Pathfinder) and every time the sales and service folks make me uncomfortable while Toyota and Ford have always gone out of their way....:):).....

I had a 1997 Nissan P/U new. It was in the shop every month for some type of problem, mostly electrical. I have refused to buy a Nissan ever since. I realize that it was probably just a lemon and not an across the board thing but it was such a horrible experience I will not go that direction again. I have also owned several Fords, Jeeps and other brands and was reluctant to go to a foreign manufacturer. But after doing some extensive research the Tacoma won my money for its proven reliability. I have not regretted the decision. IMHO

My uncle used to have a Datsun pickup. That thing was dope lookin back in the day. But now the Frontiers front exterior, and entire interior looks like crap compared to the Tacoma. To me looks and comfort is everything, since I rarely tow stuff and only use the bed occasionally for snowboarding. Sometimes I wonder why I bought the Coma instead of the 4Runner. Anyway, Frontiers are FUGLY inside and out!

The Tacoma and Frontier both have their Pros and Cons. At least we are all wise enough to be debating between the tacoma and the frontier! NOT the Ranger and Colorado LOL

I think it comes down to personal preference. Both are great trucks!

So you'd buy a car that broke down daily as long as it was comfortable and looked good?

Yea, a lot of people will hate on anything not Toyota haha. There were things I liked and disliked about both when I was looking. Ultimately the pros of the Tacoma outweighed the pros of the Frontier for me, so I purchased the Tacoma. I'd never buy a Ranger in a million years, and while the 300hp V8 in the Colorado is nice I still didn't like them when I checked them out.

Of course I do! I would rather have an awesome looking car that sits in the repair shop all day!!!

I've only owned only 3 cars. A 1996 Honda Civic EK that lasted for 10 years until I wrecked it. A 2004 Honda Accord that I gave to my sister when she got her license. And now a 09 Coma TRD OR. But my next ride will be an Audi A4 b/c they break down more often that not!!!:jerkoff:

Well, if you don't want to be asked stupid questions, don't make stupid statements.

Nice. You and I, we could get along.

The ultimate hilarity occurs when a stupid person doesn't recognize sarcasm in a stupid question about their stupid statement.

    Now that's really...dumb.

The fact that you're now 0 for 2 is the best part. Or is it 0 for 3? I guess that depends on you :p

All your replies are pretty stupid, especially the first one. So that makes you... dumb. :rimshot: ROFL. Read your first reply, then read my reply to your first reply for my initial post and see if you can see sarcasm. It's ok if you don't. God made us all different. YEE HAW!

Stunningly, now 0 for 4 in three posts. I think that may be some kind of efficiency record in missing the point entirely. No no, don't get up. I'll call the Guinness people for you.

I'm glad you value things other than looks and comfort. I doubt you would've bought a Tacoma if that was in fact that case.

But you snowboarding whippersnappers really do need to smoke less pot.
