I've only had my new 2016 Tacoma a week now, but I've noticed a shudder or vibration when coming to a stop. I tried putting it into neutral and braking to a stop ... no shudder or vibration. So it seems to be related to the transmission (automatic). Any ideas or advice?

That's not a problem. It's the transmission assisting in slowing down. It gets better.

This ... and get your transmission fluid level checked.

BS guys. He's probably talking about the rumble strip while stopping issue and it *is* problem for a lot of people.

There are a few large threads on the topic.

Op, does it happen around 25 and downward while stopping?

It doesn't get better. Take it in and get it on the books and open a ticket with corporate.

Could be ... but I think we all (most of us, anyway) can also agree that it's not a bad thing to get the transmission fluid level checked.

It's easy to check and fill your own transmission fluid. Don't let yourself be lied to by the dealerships.

I also have the issue. Seems to be around 20mph and below. My transmission was a quart low. They filled it but it didn't stop the vibration. Had a tech ride with me and drive my car. He said it felt normal and rattled off something about the angle of the u joints or driveshaft or something.

I saw some threads here from 2011 or so that seemed to point to a transmission mount or a TSB for something. Anyone know what the previous fix was?

Hopefully it is sooner than later. It's pretty annoying, especially when the rest of the truck seems quiet and smooth.
