hey, im home alone tonight with my lil bro cause my dad and stepmom wanted some romance time and they had a coupon for a free stay in the king suete at a local hotel.

well since im entertaining the boy we went to hariss teeter for some goodies and blockbuster for some movies.

on the way home there was a white nissan altima going about 35 in a 50 in my lane, so i go to pass him and end up accidentally cutting him off cause the light infront of me turned red. this vehicle ended up following me to my house, stopping infront of my drive way (waiting for me to get out i assume) (i didnt) and then hauling ass down the road turning around and leaving the neighborhood

i called the police gave them a plate number and my address and phone description of the vehicle and they said an officer will call me in a little bit. anything else i should do? should i ask if he can possible stay around the vicinty tonight?

I doubt they are going to wait around your place. Make the report when the LEO shows up and do whatever they tell you to. IDK what teh NC home defense laws are...but if that is an option- be ready for it.

Next time 1) Don't rush- if it's 50 and there are red lights-even if he's going super slow...Trying to make quick moves is asking for trouble. 2) If it appears someone is following you....DON'T GO HOME. Drive to a public place....a police station or fire department is best.

Well he probably wont come back, but just be sure you have something around in case he does, to protect you and your brother. Odds are he wont really hang out around the neighborhood, but he can probably swing by and make sure everything is cool.

My thoughts exactly. While driving, plan your route/lane of travel ahead at least a half mile or more. You may have "accidently" cut the guy off, but it can easily be misconstrued as intentional. 9 times outta 10 the reporting party I make contact with often stretch the truth in their favor. Not saying you were, but we hear it all the time.

and yes..DO NOT go home if you feel the person is following you. Check your rearview mirrors more often when you drive. Be on the look out for suspicious vehicles or persons, that may be following you. If you happen to just notice them and you're on your street, DRIVE PAST your house first, DO NOT stop and continue driving to a public place, well lit area etc.

    Good luck to you sir.

Had this happen to me the other day cause I thought it was my dad and flashed my brights at him. So I drove to the local PD and just layed on my horn, the fool took off.
