IIRC, it can be done with clamps but that doesn't mean it is the right way. It can work and work fine but welding is gonna be your best bet. I may be wrong though.

Still love mine! I adds the perfect amount of rumble

Are you still liking the 11255? Why did you choose to dump it after the axle and not before?

From what I've read, the reason why one would dump the exhaust after the axle rather than before is to avoid cab drone. With the pipe dumped before the axle the sound is amplified by the street and into the cab. I think...

    Yes.
Thread revival! For future reference to anyone that is looking at this thread, magnaflow 11255 is 100% the way to go. It is the perfect amount of sound. It grumbles off the bottom and is noticeable throughout the gears. However, the second the truck shifts into overdrive the truck is silent. Drone goes away at 50 and doesn't come back until about 78-80 mph. I'm a big drone and rattle Nazi, and I approve this muffler. Thanks to the OP and the help from this thread.

    Thread re-revival lol

Just got this same muffler after reading this thread and I agree with all that was said. Noticeable at startup and when accelerating but quiet on the highway and when idling. It also fit well with the stock piping
