It'll be dark by the time I get a chance today but I'll take some more tomorrow.

 

I am probably going this route, for a few reasons, aluminum doesn't rust(obviously), weight and access to the oil filter.

HA! strange how that happens Dried mud is a great color on a truck!!

 

Put on @rrentrop supplied reflective black vinyl tailgate insert. Was kind of dragging my feet in doing cosmetic mods but kept seeing everyone else putting them on and they looked so good I followed the herd and placed my order. Glad I did because the instal directions were spot on making the instal easy and they look great!

 

If the damn DHL guy didn't somehow miss the sign taped right smack to the middle of my front door to leave the package behind my gate by the garage I would be installing a RSI LED Headlight Kit courtesy of @LovelandTaco tonight. Lucky I'm off tomorrow so I can plant myself on the steps and insure a delivery. Looking forward to testing them out... Stay tuned

 

That looks really great! I've got a DCOR on order, maybe see it in 4-6 weeks if I'm lucky. Gives me some great ideas. So how do you like the suspension? How is the feel over the road and off road? I'm trying to sort in my mind the options out there. Appreciate the feedback, and I'm going to eagerly watch your build!

 

Thanks! The wait will be worth it! I had to wait three months. I'm really liking the Toytec Boss suspension both on & off. Cherish these 4-6 weeks because after that your wallet will never be fat again

Haha.. I think I'll be relatively subdued with truck mod's... cause my wallets already thin! God only knows how much $ in my bird hunting hobby. My two GSP's (dogs), training, equipment, kennels, vet bills.. Hell I have more money in two shotguns than most guys have in suspension mods, lol.

I think the suspension (for me) is going to be purpose driven. I already know what I don't need (or want). No Icon/King top of the line stuff for me! I spend a lot of time on the road to my hunting spots, some of which can be tough. I'll armor the truck first, then hit the roughest trail I've been on yet to judge if I even need to do anything. I suspect I will need a modest lift and a little beefier tire, but maintain a good over the road ride.

 

Haha! Yeah being guys with trucks is synonymous with having other expensive outdoor interests. Sounds like a good plan! Watch the group buys: I got in on the Allpro and RCI group buys for some significant savings. My fingers are crossed RCI does another group buy or special later this year and I'll grab the rest of their skids.

 

Truck looks great! Huge motivation for me and love the color. Keep up the great work and updates!

Santa Cruz bikes FTW! I have a Tallboy I built up last year.

 

Quicksand is by far the best color. I like it more and more each day.

For sure on Santa Cruz bikes! I secretly keep hoping my Heckler cracks so I can justify replacing it with most likely a Bronson, but it just won't break and I love the way it rides so much I can't let it go.

 

I went MGM but also think all the colors look great. Except for red. The red doesn't do it for me.

I doubt your Heckler will quit anytime soon. I'm diggin' the new Hightower but I know I don't anymore than I have with my TB haha

 

MGM was what I planned on getting then saw the quicksand online. I was nervous ordering without actually seeing it, but glad I did.

 

Well I got to be one of the lucky ones to test @LovelandTaco RSI LED's out. First impressions: DAMN THEY ARE BRIGHT!!

They come packaged very nice (I took a pic on my iPad I'll post later). The instructions are just pictures (no words) so I had to get some clarification so I didn't mess them up but really the install is straight forward. Basically the same as changing your regular bulbs. Getting the low beam units in was tight and took some patience and finesses but they did go in. I recommend starting on the driver's side - low, fog, high then do the passenger side where the wiper fluid reservoir sort of makes it a tad harder. Again do low, fog, high. Reason on order is the ease of doing in my opinion.

I will take some pictures in the light under the hood to show how used 3M Very Strong Tape to mount everything.

Yeah QUITE the difference!!

I am VERY impressed with @LovelandTaco RCI LED lights! I'll get some pics and video up tomorrow but happy to report that there is ZERO jiggle, bounce, whatever you want to call it. Rock steady lights!! Two thumbs up

 

Looks like an impressive product. The instruction pictures are little confusing. What does picture 1 mean by using an Allen wrench? And picture 2?
