Trust me you won't be disappointed. It eats any and all ammo without a snag. Take down is glock-like and the tolerances in the gun are extremely tight for a $400 firearm.

I just wish there was a range near me that rented single stack 9s so I wouldn't have to keep buying and selling them haha.

So far XDs, Shield, P938....still lookin for my unicorn.

I've had the opportunity to shoot the XDs and Shield but the ergos of the PPS M2 made the choice easy. I just wish the mags weren't so damn expensive and had better availability but they're working on getting big batches of the 8 round mags shipping out soon. I've read that Mecgar is the manufacturer for those so I have no doubts about the quality of them.

bought a 10.5" Faxon barrel and a maxim PDW stock while I was at the NRA convention. Talked to the owner of Faxon, really a great guy.
Top gun was my last build. still need to get an optic for it.

Seems reasonable to me. I started stockpiling .38 and .357 for months before I actually settled on which gun I wanted to buy, lol

It's on order, but no ETA. Apparently it's a newer model to the Sig LEO pricing program and according to the dealer it has to come straight from the factory. Not sure how much I believe that.

Maybe California has a new law where dealers aren't allowed to keep certain handguns in stock :notsure:

They had other LEO only handguns in stock. I'm just wondering if they hadn't had much call for the exact model I ordered. Sig P238 Extreme package.

    Why a 238 over a 938?

I plan to use it as an on-duty back up as well as an off-duty carry. Because our service sidearm is a .40, our policy states that, as a backup, we can carry any concealable weapon in any caliber except 9mm because there is apparently a risk of 9mm accidentally being chambered in a .40 which would cause a catastrophic failure of the service weapon.

I have to say it's a very nicely machined barrel and everything I heard about them was great. Might be my new barrel of choice from now on.

That's odd. A .380 is the same bullet diameter as 9mm but the cartridge is a little bit shorter (.380 is 9x17, 9mm is 9x19.)

You'd think the policy would be that it HAS to be a .40 since that's the ammo your dept already has stockpiled.

I agree that it's odd, but the rest of our firearms program is top notch so I just go with it.

I picked up an XD mod 2 in 9mm. Haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet but I've really enjoyed other XDs I've shot in the past.
