I'm doing a trade for some retrofits from a local guy. Pretty stoked! New lights were way down on my "need" list, but the right situation popped up.

Just read through your whole build. Pretty awesome build and pretty similar to everything I plan on doing. Just curious if you have done your CMC yet? And if not how much does it actually rub on the cab mount? Just curious since I was taking some measurements since I'm looking to go 285's as well and I don't think I'll rub much on the cab mount.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the compliment.

I haven't done the CMC yet but I plan on it soon. That being said, I rarely ever rub with the 285's, I have to try pretty hard to get them to scrub.

So many people that say you have to do all this chopping for 285's which is why I'm on the fence about going that route with the st maxx's but damn they look good! Tomorrow I'm making the decision so it's either 285's or 255/85's to wrap around these bad boys I'm getting on Wednesday :drunk: [IMG]

Nice! I actually think my lack of rubbing comes from my alignment, the front bumper, and the small amount of trimming I've done. I rubbed like a mo fo on my '09 with 285's and stock UCA's.

Went on an awesome run with @Uncle Cliffy , @sect0r , @DarkShark @05TacomaORE , and @YotaDan yesterday. We had 10 trucks in all, 8 Yotas, an old Ranger, and a Suzuki Sidekick.

We did a lot of water crossings and enjoyed some beautiful scenery. @YotaDan tried to sink his crawler... @DarkShark lost a rear shock bolt and had to do a trailside repair.

All in all it was a kick ass day and fun was had by all.

Took some tinkering but I got the AFE CAI installed. Had to tinker with the mount for my compressor and add some washers to the emissions pump relocation bracket to make it work. Good news is... The S/C whine is louder and the old butt dyno thinks that throttle response has improved.

Your truck might have a cross-country twin later this year.
A Pelfrey rear bumper should be coming my way within a few weeks and a set of Level8 wheels is tempting.

Found your pics while looking for how different wheels look on pyrite.
Wife likes the MK6 best of options I've shown her. I just can't decide between 16" with 295/75-16 tire or 17" with 285/75-17.

Yeah, I dig my MK6's. I think when the time comes for a different look I'll be getting some 17" SCS Ray 10's in Bronze. Maybe running a 34x10.5x17.

Do you think the 0 offset gives you enough backspace for 35s to clear the control arms? I see there is also a -10 offset version of the MK6.

Might not ever get 35s but want to at least have the option on the table. I'm really only shopping wheels because I want to ditch my spacers so trying to at least keep options for future tires open.
