I agree, the price difference is crazy, not to mention the nearest dealer for me is in a different state lol. Guess the old addage of "you get what you pay for" applies here.

 

I think the general idea is if a lbj breaks while you're going 60 down the highway, you're fucked. And that ~$200 you saved going with moog over oem isn't worth it in the end.

Now, an oem can snap too, but it's a good bit stronger/better built than a moog.

Can't argue with that. Hell, I'd rather have just about anything fail up front before the LBJ! I'm pretty sure that would total my truck right then and there...

 

Got my leer cap installed today. Now my Great Dane can come to work with me again, and lots of dry storage.

Also had gator Hyde applied to box rails and top of tailgate. 3/16" thick and looks very nice. Seems durable, they claim best in the industry, time will tell.....

 

Could anybody post up a couple pics of their pinch weld after smashing it for larger tires?

Pics of the front of the wheel wells wpuld be cool too.

I got mine somewhat smashed in but they still look like its going to be close. Tires rub the frame some too.

Theres a rubber plug in the drivers side firewall.

 

So you don't believe that motor moved just a little extra on that landing, yanking that tube outa the airbox eh?

Well, it wasn't today, but I think last weekend still counts, right?

I finally got around to installing my 4Crawler 2" body lift. Yes, I said body lift. I have my reasons, and the mid travel parts are almost all in-house. Anyway, I replaced the body mounts as well, and the difference in ride quality is HUGE. Before, I seemed to feel all of the higher frequency road vibes. Now, nothing. I love it.

I just installed them on my truck. They come with a zerk fitting which I like. No complaints so fair. They seem to be constructed nicely and also come with 4 new bolts for the lca connection

No roof for me, hood will come later, for now I'm going with the back of the cab.

 

Before I knew better I bought them (MOOG) and they came with new bolts too. While installing them I broke two of the new bolts so I ordered new bolts from Toyota. Within a week the one on the drivers side started popping. I parked the truck, ordered OEM and I will never use anything but OEM on my truck. Below is what it looks like when they break.
