I have a set (on all the time). They were like that when I bought them powered on the fuse box under the hood. I did the same thing and added a switch (Zombie Lights) on the dash to turn them off. I get flashed sometimes at night (they are super bright).

They are actually really bright. A lot brighter than the low beams. It doesn't happen all the time, but a couple of times a week if I am driving at night. My kids even asked why people always turn their high beams on me, but not mom. Ha! I think it has to do with how white they are. Even during the day you don't want to stare at them.

Here is what they look like on. Not mine, just an install video. They really are bright. Mine don't dim when other lights are on.

Roughly 90% of the members here take their trucks off road. Getting trick paint jobs touched up or redone would be pretty costly lol

Tonight I reinforced my leer shell lock because I was feeling that it was too easy to pry them out.

It also turned on the 179 000 km in the driveway

I had one on my truck a while ago but took it off cause I couldn't get used to the look. its all personal taste though, i like the black. I'm assuming you didn't like the low profile one? It takes up less off the back window

So essentially you are a dick... When I lifted my truck the first thing I did was adjust the headlights to not blind people yet you take pride in blinding people, nice.

Nope, not a dick...nor would I be an asshat and call someone else a dick without knowing what I was talking about. I put the switch in so I can turn them off at night to not blind people. I discovered they were a bother to others when I was flashed at night. They came installed on the truck when I bought it and are auto on when the truck turns on. I use them all day as driving lights as they are intended, and turn them off at night with my installed switch. Sometimes I forget to turn them off as it gets dark while I am driving.

Now, carry on and jump to your own dumbass conclusions to someone else. :)

    I bounce it offa stuff.
Most of us spend money on things that add performance or convenience to our vehicles. $6000 paint jobs are pretty useless unless you are on a show circuit. And yes, a lot of us use our trucks like trucks, be it loading them with a half cord of wood or bashing rocks and trees, and fancypants spray jobs aren't ideal for those conditions.

    Yes.
Because after three trail runs, my truck looks like I have a very very pissed off ex girlfriend.

I'd be super bummed if that was on a $3500 or more paint job.

Yeah my 2010 is going to get top to bottom line x in a couple years. My paint is going the way of the dodo bird, and fast.

"It doesn't happen all the time, but a couple of times a week if I am driving at night. My kids even asked why people always turn their high beams on me, but not mom. Ha!"

"Dumbass" conclusions are not drawn from statements like that. I could forget that my high beams are on at night a couple times a week and that would make me a dick as well but I don't, nor do I laugh with my passengers when they ask why people are flashing me. You are right that I don't know all the facts but with what is presented in your statement I can only assume that you forget to turn them off more often then not which means maybe they should stay off all the time. Carrying on with my life thanks.

I think he was talking about the xsp lights.

I may be wrong, or I may be right.

Let's not jump to conclusions while he's not here though
