Austin Dillon is a beast. Grandaddy childress don't want him winning is my dad's conspiracy. He said he's scared to lose him like he did dale sr, so he's not giving his car the power to win like he could.

Not sure if this has been posted here yet. It's a link to the 1965 article by Thomas Wolfe,
THE LAST AMERICAN HERO is Junior Johnson. Great account of the old days of Nascar.

It's Coke 600 week, so pull out your American Flag handkerchiefs to wipe the patriotic mist from your eyes when you see all the red, white and blue special schemes Sunday night.

NASCAR announced splitter change for Kentucky and Michigan. Would reduce 3 inches of the splitter that's underneath the car, decreasing the downforce. However, it will still stick out from the car a quarter inch.

Coke 600 is prone to producing first-time winners. I'll be keeping my eye on the 3, 17, 21, 24, 42. The Roush cars have some newfound speed and I look forward to seeing them close the deal soon.

Pit road selections: (43,48,88 lost pit selection due to 4th written infractions for the year, will make 14, 24, 41 jobs hard too)

Going to be interesting seeing the new aero package at night for 600 miles. Night races have been the only snoozers this season. The new aero package really takes a physical and mental toll on the drivers. Remember how worn out they were after those long green runs at Atlanta? Imagine 100 MORE miles. Add to the driver's exhaustion, the potential for mechanical breakdown in that final 100 miles. Statistically, the fastest cars do not win the 600. I think 10-15 starting position has produced numerous winners over the years.

NASCAR does it like no other sport. Recognizing all the fallen soldiers who fought for this flag. Hope to see the Deuce flying it at the end.

So exciting waiting on the first green flag pass for the lead all night. I was worried this would be a snoozer. Night races this season

Yea I think we can appreciate the all star package for what it was after seeing these night races this year. Only wish they'd implement them immediately instead of next year...

Well, I'm super pumped Truex won. I'm also super bummed that race sucked. Promising however, is the aero package they brought for the all star race. It'll be better for those 1.5 mile night races

Barring Truex doesn't fail post race inspection, that'll be his luck
