Yup, pick three or four brands that make you happy and go with the best deal.

Just received my KO2's yesterday. I went with them because of the price I got them for. 265/70/17 C rated for $745 to the door. Couldn't find duratracs anywhere close to that.

Yes, the c load duratracs are lighter, but the road manners, quiet ride and longevity of the ko2 make it my tire of choice. Either tire can be had in c load range with 17" wheels, too.

My K02s are great. I never said they were loud. My smaller duratracs got stupid loud on the hwy...especially with age.

I just got a set of 265/75r16 BFG KO2s this week and love them. Got a good deal on them at Costco!

Can I ask what price you got? I was quoted $218 in store for that size which is ridiculous. Costco online they're $182. But I see there's a $50 BF coupon coming next month.

I got the set for $830 out the door. I think they were about $180-$185 / tire. Also got a $50 instant rebate so that took it down a bit (basically covered how much the sales tax was).

4wheelparts had a sale last week on the ko2's $50 off no sales tax and free shipping. Got my 265/70/17 C for $745 to the door

So I just got a pretty good hookup from My local chain tire dealer. Asked them if they do credits for upgrades. I had a set of Yokohama geolanders installed last year. They asked what the problem was and I said off road performance was not to my expectations. Surprisingly the manager offered to buy them back for $72 each, effectively making the BF KOs $110 each for 265/75/16s. Plus there's a $100 rebate on 4 tires this weekend. So essentially $85 each plus tax and install.

I've heard people say they are loud, but I didn't notice a difference from the stock tires to duratracs (265/75/16). IMO the Tacoma is loud as shit to begin with, and I have the prinsu rack without a deflector (light bar instead) that adds a little sound.
